oh I remember him featured in a Leeds magazine back then. A young hooker from Hull area , never got near the first team. A few people of that surname originate from Hull. Sean Miller looked about 8 stone dripping wet and Russ Sowden I think was from Bramley and a bit tubby. Anyone remember Jeff Townend a goal kicking prop from Fev, not too bad a player

Steve? Dickens played only a couple I believe. Only reason I remember him is that we had Dick, Dickens and Dickinson on the same team sheet.

Outstanding player was Loz but never quite had the attitude to match his ability. Spat his dummy out when Terry Newton was fast tracked into the first team ahead of him despite being a loose forward at the time.

Neil james was a good friend of my cousin, my cousin went to Australia when he was 7 the family came back for a couple of years when he was 17-18 was at Wakefield colts with Neil james and Gary Price, they really really wanted to sign my cousin but he hated the weather they all moved back to Australia where he joined the army.
But they always looke neil James up when they came back to visit.

Vass the best junior prospect of all time according to doug laughton, (untill kevin Sinfield) never quite lived up to it. He was a good champion standard player.
