| Quote: Sal Paradise "Two plays really stand off for me - there was a run in the second half of a game at Hull it was 0-0 at half time even Tony Smith looked in complete awe of the move. '"
that move was sensational, that whole game was a belter, I've been trying to get hold of a copy, can't seem to find it online or anything...

| It is always sad when a great player retires or moves on but it is part and parcel of the game and of life. Danny proved last week that he still has got something to offer and you are a long time retired so I do not blame him for not wanting it to finish just yet. It would be ironic if he did a Dunemann for another side while we are still searching for one ourselves.
I hope he stays fit for the rest of the season and that we win another trophy as he deserves to finish on a high. The same goes for Burrow if he is retiring as rumoured.
Both these two have been key players in so much that Leeds have achieved over the last and with YouTube we can still enjoy seeing them at their best.

I remember saying at half time just how good that game was. IIRC, Richie Mathers had a wow of a match.

| Just to echo everyone's thoughts Thanks for the memories Danny Mags. The best for me,was the smile on his face as he scored from Seniors offload in the 2004 G/F. Start of a great era and I think he knew it. That smile said it all

I've got that game mate - most of the televised games from that season in fact.
If you PM me, I'll sort out getting a copy to you

Agreed - also just been watching a bit of the 70-0 demolition of St Helens from 2004.
Danny was sensational that night (hat trick in first 13 mins) and all through that season. His pace was just out of this world, it's almost like you're watching the footage in fast forward
Great, great memories!

Ah, that game was the first time I saw Leeds play at headingley. My grandad took me, and bought me a shirt. After that game I had Danny's name printed on the back of it.
My family were quite involved with york wasps but they dissolved in 2002 I think. And I'd been watching Leeds since. I'll always remember going to that game!
Would love to see that again!

| Quote: cosworth "I think Danny would have stayed another year if asked so this begs the question who do GH/BMcD have pencilled in for the 6/7 shirts next year. Its either Myler/Lilley, Myler/Sutcliffe or Myler/Moon.
I think next time B.McD does an interview he needs to be put on the spot and asked instead of the nauseous post/pre game questions he currently gets.'"
Lilley, Myler, Sutcliffe, aston and Moon, plus walker can play 6. plenty of options.

If Moon stays at stand off for next year we need another centre in my opinion. I like Keinhorst but I'm not sure he's got that x factor that the best centres have so I think we lose a bit out wide against the very best sides.

I'd have to disagree. I think when're keinhorst has had a run of games, he's shown he can be a big threat. His try record in the centres is very impressive. And we know from his time in second row his defence is good. I'd agree he doesn't have the attacking threat when he's playing in the second row. But at centre he keeps coming up with the goods.

Hmmm.. I'm yet to be convinced. I'm just thinking we are losing a fair bit of attacking threat out wide without Moon in the centre, no doubting Keinhorst is a decent player but he's not in Moon's league as a centre.

Out jumped Dorn! Wow, some unwarranted abuse there thunder. Maybe not my favourite (with a "u"icon_wink.gif moment but I loved the chancer's hat trick the following year when Cas put 50 past Leeds, again.
To be fair I wish DM all the best. I admire an excellent player and outstanding club servant.

No, he's not in moons league as a centre. I guess what I'm trying to say is, next year if moon plays at 6, we don't need to sign a world class centre because keinhorst is a very good super league centre. Not just making up numbers centre, very good. There are far more pressing positions to fill.
