Well it's all kind of pathetic that we are approaching the business end of the season, well placed to be in a home playoff SF, final game of the SouthStand, Burrow and McGuire's Leeds careers coming to an end and people are still more interested in spreading gossip criticising the club and individuals.

For the next 6-8 games in what could hopefully result in what would be an unexpected GF win back at the start of the year could we not be more interested in backing them instead of attacking them? After the season ends then fill your boots, but take a break for several important weeks.

Yet this is a thread about the academy, and Seth was expressing his opinion.

If it happens to be negative are we not allowed to say say then?

BMD - kind, considerate to the youth team players, great technical coach & man-manager. Would not have won any of our GFs during his tenure without him. He organises our team with excellence & makes brilliant decisions.

GH - has backed the team to the hilt since the demise of the Golden Generation, bringing in a plethora of world-class players to manage the transition astutely. Has even changed his ethos with regards to salary structures in recognition that times have changed. What a CEO!

Players - continue to impress, improve & overachieve. Not a weak link among them.

Ground - clearly the best in SL.

There - can I now be added to Loiner & Printer's Christmas card list!

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg

Most posters want the team to prosper as much as possible. You make a fair point about want could be achieved this season.

They are not blinded to the short comings at the club - if what Seth suggested happened at Warrington - I wasn't there so I don't know but Seth seems to genuine - that is disgusting and should not be allowed to be brushed under the carpet by apologists for club such as yourself.

It will be a pretty boring forum if all anyone took your stance - purely positive comments or looking for excuses for failure rather than actually saying what they think or know.

Fair enough keep having a go and criticising them and spreading rumours about them all the way up to the playoffs and GF if we get there. Just thought now that we're at the make or break point of the season it'd be better to back them for a short while instead of attack them as usual......seems the latter is more important to some.

What is way more 'important to some' than winning trophies are ethics and in particular the response to the treatment of an opposition player whose been seriously injured by a sickening attack.

Just seen this which is good to hear

It makes for a boring forum when all we get week in week out is the same personal attacks.....and I was replying to the remark about McDermott, not the Warrington incident which sounds like ONE member of staff so bit harsh to tar the whole clubs ethos on that one guy and incident.

Not saying everyone has to be positive positive positive but whether you likes McDermott or not, he's obviously going to be in charge for the rest of this season. It's more important that we win the GF than slating him - which we hear all year round - so can't we knock it on the head for a month or so or does it have to be constant week in week out?

I don't think it is - but if bad stuff happens it shouldn't be overlooked - surely?

You seem very myopic when it comes to analysing games. The Hull semi was a classic of that - the second try according to you was an interference on Briscoe which to me he simply dropped it and the third try was a forward pass. There is never any comment from you when Leeds benefit from dodgy calls. You simply can't have it both ways

Quote: Seth "Aside from the performance on the field, a key fundamental that was clearly missing was any communication with subs by coaching staff when they went on the field. The culture there is not one id like to be part of, typified by a very unsavoury incident that happened on Saturday that lead to a leeds player being sent off and an air ambulance arriving for a warrington player (i hope hes ok) when the warrington staff called for support from the leeds bench a member of the leeds staff shouted "oi warrington youve got your own staff there what you using ours for?!" As the lads out cold clearly seriously injured. I was disgusted by it.'"

This shouldnt be tolerated by the club,if its a paid member of the coaching staff they should be fined at the very least, these are young lads trying to forge a career, the warrington lads health is more important than anything else that happened during that game rgardless of which team ur with

As for the coaching,i wasnt too keen on the appointment of morley as 19s coach, its an important phase in the development of young players and im not sure if giving the job to someone just because theyr a club legend is the right way to go....The highlights from the weekends game are embarrassing

I agree about Morley.
it's the second most important job at the club, after first team coach.

Im not from leeds so dont know anything about the coaches of the community teams but is there no highly rated coaches around the leeds area at that level that would of been a good choice and deserved a chance, maybe with the 16s and promote the 16s coach to 19s because he seems to do an excellent job,not sure if feesable or not, what do you think?

Sorry if you're selective with what you read from me as I mentioned penalties against JJB and Briscoe wrt to interference at kicks as spot on. As for the forward pass even Hull fans agreed it was so hardly myopic. Maybe stop being selective with what you read.

I think there is little point debating any further with you as you don't get the point - saying a blatant penalty is Ok is different from highlighting where Leeds have been fortunate from a dubious decision. Something you always highlight/ed when Leeds are on the receiving end.

You remind me of Paul Wellens during his playing days - there was never a legitimate try scored against Saints ever we he played.
