| Really hope that's the last we see of Achurch. What a complete waste of space he is.

| Appalling defense near our try line cost us that game.
Unfortunately top 8 at best is all we can now hope for, we're getting better over all, but just dropping too many points.

| Some positives to be taken from that, the will to win is still there, and it was a big effort to get through that second half with essentially one sub. Young lads stood up, and until McGuire is back it needs to be Sutty and Lilley in the halves with burrow at hooker.
It is frustrating though because the same old problems cost us again, namely cheap penalties and a complete inability to control the ruck. Achurch and Faloon were little more than passengers, Abletts defence continues to be a problem and even if Delaney puts his hand up to play someone needs to make sure he's fit!

| Actually like to give Galloway some praise tonight, thought a lot of the good stuff Burrow was doing was off the back of Galloways runs and quick play the balls.

| Well, not the worst performance I've seen. Attack-wise some of our play was up there with last year's. Defence-wise: pffft...
I'm left wondering what sort of game Watkins can shine in if not one like that.

| So add Ablett, Delaney and probably Hardaker to the injury list.

| At least attacking wise that was closer to what we're capable of.
To come that close, away from home, when we've lost Zak (our single most important player now IMO) for the last half hour, no Ablett, no Delaney and if the ref had had the balls to sin bin Amor or if we'd had a little bit of luck with the bounce of the ball we could have won - that's a notable change from being outplayed by Hull Kr and Salford. Yes, our defence around the ruck is dreadful, but by and large our scrambling defence is still pretty good.
When you think that we were missing 4 of our first choice back 7 (5 by the end) then to score that many points bodes very well. Our best defence has always been the potency of our attack, and that looks to be on it's way back. Personally I have renewed hope.

Stevo and Carney commentate in my nightmares. At least Phil Clarke's there for a bit of balance.
Brave effort tonight, but you know that when we fling it around like that it's because we haven't got a clue what else to do with it.

Galloway was decent, apart from the inevitable penalties. Garbutt was good as well.

Hardaker, Hall, Moon, Briscoe, McGuire, Cuthbertson, Ablett, Ward, Ferres. That's 9 of our first choice 13 who weren't on the pitch. We were waving Saints over the line whenever they could hold onto the ball, and STILL their near first-choice side just limped over in the second half. How bad are they? Think that was a more worrying performance for them than us, tbh.

| Defense is a real worry. Were getting battered in the opening quarter. Good spirit to get back into it. Falloon looks poor. Signed as a hooker who can defend the middle, but can't. Galloway is getting better.

| Burrow excellent after the "master stroke" from our coach of moving him to the position he was so good last week after 20 minutes of rubbish with Falloon at 9.
Our defence out wide was very good, Watkins and Jimmy K were excellent but up the middle we were woefull at times.
How long did Delaney last? Is there anybody assessing the actual fitness of our players? Ablett obviously playing injured as well.
Galloway is a lamppost in defence. Our middle is a sieve.
There was some evidence that our halves were starting to click at times but unless we fill in all the gaping holes in the middle of the field it will be pointless. However, our last tackle short kicking game is non existent and we have absolutely zero structure with the ball near the opposition line. It's all off the cuff.
I wish McD would stop talking about "things beyond our control" because it's clear a lot of the things within his control are rubbish.
