Falloon is a definite upgrade on Aiton based on his on-field ability. As for his off field issue (there has only been the one), I'm willing to give him a chance.... It was out of season,and he was just unlucky to be caught (though no charges have been proven anyway). It shouldnt have an effect on the Leeds culture - it hasn't so far - the use of recreational drugs is not a problem exclusive to Gold Coast. |

| The concern around alleged off field activities shouldn't be sniffed at.  This is a critical period for the club, the loss of some key senior players who have been part of setting the tone at Leeds for 10 years or more, leaves us slightly more vulnerable to bad apples damaging the culture that has served us well. The gent in question has been found to have no case to answer, that may be on a technicality or he may have been lucky or he may have been unfairly drawn into the enquiry. But I would be surprised if GH brought anyone into the group about whom there was any serious doubt. |

Its pretty clear that a bunch of Titans players were regularly using drugs. Falloon was one of a number interviewed. The fact that he and a few others got off because of the nature of their texts whilst others are being pursued doesn't change the stench of the thing at all. Most clubs would steer a wide path around any of the players involved.

I think I'm right in saying the guy was not found guilty?
If so are you suggesting we don't get someone who was simply questioned over an incident? Innocent until guilty anyone?
Also, sport is riddled with bad boy done good stories, not least the current man of steel!

Don't put words or opinions in my mouth. I have no knowledge about what Falloon has or hasn't done, beyond what I've read and I didn't say that he was guilty. BTW he wasn't found "not guilty" As I understand it the case didn't go to trial for a lack of admissible evidence. The quote from the Tripple M report was:-
"Gold Coast Titans player Beau Falloon will not face trial over the NRL's drug scandal because of insufficient admissible evidence."

In all seriousness, hanging a recommendation or otherwise on this non court case is very narrow minded. I'm sure Gary knows what he is doing and will take everything into account before signing anyone.
