You can say what you like about the ground's facilities for the average fan but the way some of these Wires talk you'd think there had never been big international sporting events at the complex never mind a crowd which was smaller than all but one of Leeds home SL games this season.

You should have seen the many posts about Old Trafford after they lost to us in their first Grand Final. They were also complaining about the kick off time of the Grand Final as well.

Are you sure? Warrington's closer, I'm certain. Headingley Station is certainly further than Warrington.

Even if it is closer it's not what you call a long walk

In short he's the polar opposite of both Brian McDermott and Tony Smith who showed their class again this weekend.'"
We're saints ever penalised for holding down?
LMS in particular was flopping at virtually every tackle, at one point he did it twice in quick succession on tackles on backs where he'd been 5 yards away as the tackle was completed it was literally Carl Ablett standard obvious infringements.
I'd also point out that we had a lot of possession with saints defending on there line where they had 2 or 3 tackles in a row where the ref warned them (but didn't penalise) for not being behind the line.
We're there any controversial obstruction calls, I can't remember any.

There should have been a review of a possible obstruction in the lead up to the Peacock try.

I think those are valid comments to be fair.
I also believe we showed far too much respect. One example of such was allowing Moon to run right across our defence in the build up to the Hardaker try. He should have been knocked into next week. I also felt us kicking early and playing so conservatively effectively told you that we didn't fancy going toe to toe and would take our chances on you tiring.
Pleased to see Savelio getting plenty of credit. The boy is a star in the making. Sadly, he's already openly acknowledged that he wants to go to the NRL and will likely leave us in 2 years when he'll be only 22 years of age.

I don't think there was a single penalty at the tackle for holding down or flopping despite Saints regularly sending men in well after tackle completion to lie on. Frankly it didn't matter, and I thought Thaler was right to let the game go on - in general it had little effect on Leeds speed at the PTB.
Thaler had one of those games where you really struggled to think of something he couldn't have done better. Although I do think it helps when both teams are there to play - which, to Cunningham's credit - he seems to have his team trying to do.

Why? You don't mean because Burns was whining about Thaler getting in his way?
Sinny might have been MoM but Burns collected the Lee Briers award.

No. Hall going round the back of two of his own players to break out of your half and set up the Peacock try. That's what Saints fans and players were objecting to.

The saints man missed the tackle couldn't get hold of Hall, then the next tackler ran into his own man, there was nobody obstructing a would be tackler.

In which case it couldn't be reviewed, because the ball had been played inbetween.
As has been said, no defenders were impeded in attempting to tackle Hall.
