I'm sure there are some excellent Coaches out there and i have no doubts many of them (players) are doing the business for their respective amateur clubs but they don't all play together do they?

Like I Have said previously, the deal was agreed months ago not when announced. I expect he won't be here next season as the club realise he really offers nothing for us going forward.

That would require either Hetherington or McDermott making a dispassionate decision about one of the golden generation. Not going to happen. He's here until he decides it's time to retire.

Nope. I think Sinfield has expressed a wish to play Union in the past, and saw this as his last opportunity to do so. I don't for one minute think he was somehow "persuaded" to move on.

I have just been my watching son play this morning. And at the game was speaking to one of the Rhinos coaches in the structure. I will not name names, but he confirmed that MCDermott decided at end of last season that there was no place for Burrow in the future team, and it was Hetherington that went ahead and offered a deal.

As I have said on here, I just can't see Burrow here next season.

I fail to see what burrow offers anymore? Been one of my favourite players but should have been moved on

As I Wigan fan I like to think I'm bringing an unbiased view to this discussion.

I've read through the pages of this thread - I can't understand the dislike for Burrows. He's not the same player he was, but he still makes opposition fans tense up when he has the ball in his hands.

Unless you've got someone drastically better for that backup hooker/half role I don't see the problem in keeping him around for another year. I think he's great at coming on for 30 minutes and injecting some pace around the ruck.
