I'd still agree with using the squad players like Clarkson, Kirke, Moore etc to give players like Delaney, Peacock, Leuluai etc the odd game rest though.'"
Could be I suppose one of those days but I remember within the first 10 minutes peacock bent double blowing out of his behind. Then there were at least a few sets were our forwards were nowhere near getting back on side to return the ball (again this could be seen as a result of brough kicking game).
Yes it could be just a one of but my feeling is that we have some players who need a rest. We have had little
Rotation, players doing alot more minutes than usually have done previously and the most bizzare for me is the picking a player on the bench and never putting them on the field.
This isn't a call for "McDermott out" just my opinion as to why some of our players seem jaded

Sutcliffe for Sinfield. Watkins and Hall should be ok to double up then it depends if Burrow, JJB and Ablett get picked for England duty too. On the latter 2 hopefully not given our back row injuries. Also Leuluai could play for the Exiles which should open a possibility of Singleton back in the 17 for that particular match.'"
Perhaps.....but I still think that with our present coach it will only be when his hand forced: then when we lose it is easier for him to blame the non-regulars, drop them and revert to the tried and trusted (even if flogged and knackered or out of position).

Well said Ferdy. You always speak the truth with diplomacy and, more importantly, no agenda. Fans like you should be listened to. (I, on the other hand, am just biased towards a youth policy. )

Thank you very much, although I think you would be in the minority with that sort of opinion!!!

| Genuinely concerned about Monday, think it might turn out to be the nadir of our season (if it actually gets any worse than losing to London, Widnes etc!)
Having said that, quite hopeful for a strong end to the season if we can get Lomax/Roby/Wheeler fit and on the pitch come the business end.

If there's an issue with 10 minute CV fitness, there's nothing a week off will do. You might get accumulated fatigue in the legs, but not so as you'd notice in 10 minutes, and not affecting the breathing. That's a short-term effect.
Prop forwards always blow a bit after a couple of runs. I'd be interested to see what Peacock did in the 2 or 3 tackles before that.

Nice try though!

| Delaney 50-50 for Monday night after aggrivating shoulder knock against Huddersfield.
If fit....or played....which is likely I'd rather see Clarkson start in place of Achurch. I know Achurch got showed up a little against Huddersfield but my opinion isnt knee jerk to that. It just seems a better flow. Clarkson is solid and can offer a platform and Achurch has shown he can be a handful off the bench and offers some brawn and skittle, which is lacking from our bench at present.
Or we can just continue to bring Clarkson on with 10 minutes to go.........regardless of how the game is going.

| Also, Achurch seems to be playing alot of minutes, he may be better used with more like Kylie/Moore stints. Shorter....put yourself about and do as much damage as you can in 15 minutes.

| Peacock always looks like he's blowing out of his backside....it's just his normal look. Lets remember the forwards were playing against the wind in the 1st half and according to the half time stats we comfortably made more metres than Hudds and getting downfield wasn't a problem (despite every single Brough kick apparently being the best thing since sliced bread and seeing us start sets deep in our own half) think they'll be fine with a 9 day gap between matches.
That's good news about Delaney, I was fearing a couple of months absence when he first went off the pitch on Saturday. However if he is 50/50 for Saints then should we save him for Wigan 6 days later.

Well maybe if you added your snow experience to that on the pitch when all were having a mare, then you may be able to apply some prespective to the situation........ If you were going on that game as your take home impressions thenI doubt we could field a 9's team let alone a 17.

True I personally feel though that we are not using our squad rotation enough and fear it could catch up with us. Add in both hurting his knee at Bradford and spending the last 10 minutes against giants playing with his knee I would suggest his body and mind may do with a break

Hmmmm where have we heard that before? Even Gardner looked good that fateful red hair day.
(Is Wheeler [iever[/i fit?)
