Carling Black Label - there's one for the nostalgia. Remember the Stones Bitter Championship? And GBRL sponsored by British Coal?

Ever seen a GB shirt on Ebay with the Coal logo? How retro is that!

On the subject of kits, my second team are York Knights who refuse to go near the old amber/black. It may be a legal thing but to see the York team in hoops would be great. Might not be York's new kit of blue/white but loads of team mess about with kits. At least York in amber/black would be good.

If you remember Clarence Street were the facilities any worse than Cas or other top flight teams? I think not but that's another story for the useless City of York Council to answer.

I did see one on there a while ago, and the successor with British Gas on.

A British Coal one with black tape over the logo a la Shaun Edwards would be even better.

Let all the doubters keep doubting and those who believe keep believing. We’re only interested in those in the bubble. Anyone who wants to come in the bubble, you can come in. But you’ve got to keep believing.:86.jpg

1998 innit. Some great moments in that shirt: Bradford away, Sheffield away and I think at the epic London away win (Blackmore going over the line backwards?) we wore that.

Whoa whoa whoa. Clarence Street was a dump, York needed to move, it was just unfortunate that Huntington was never really fit for Rugby League, but that wasn't really CofYC's (or Rydale's) fault as they had to fit the athletic club in too. Thanks to the 'useless' CofYC this next season at Huntington (as it is) will be the last before we move into a shiny new state of the art Community facility. No complaints from me.

And as for the Knights never playing in Black and Amber, they played in those very colours in 2010. And it was hooped...

"He's the best coach I've had... His mix of man-management and his game plan is second to none. Since Brian Mac has been in charge, we've been in every final so far. I love playing for him. I can't praise him enough, I've so much respect for him and I hope he's here for a very long time." Kevin Sinfield 29/9/12:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68506.jpg

Didn't Shaun Edwards refuse to shake hands with John Major after a Challenge Cup win when he visited the team in the changing room? Seem to recall Billy McGinty threw his pants at him.

I remember York's away kit from a couple of years ago - b&w hoops with bits of yellow. What I want to see are proper hoops Wigan-style (when they're in the mood for a proper kit).

I will be sorry to see Bootham Crescent go (and Leeds have played there) - first ground at 10 back in the days of re-election. It's not too bad but if the club is to make a push for League One in the next few seasons they need a ground to match.

Wasn't a terrible kit with some modifications to it.
