| Quote: Paul2812 "I trust you. As a Warrington fan I'm appalled.
With Leeds being the current SL & WC Champions, as well as having a tight loss against Catalan who are a way better team than the London team who destroyed Wire, surely Leeds are the strong favourites at Wembley on Saturday ?
Based on the above facts anything less than a big win for Leeds would be a disaster and even more appalling than being beaten by London.'"
It's no use playing the psychology game on here I'm afraid. I'm not playing on Saturday, and anyone that is or anyone that matters isn't reading.
You and your fellow fans have developed a strange obsession with who the favourites are, in a bid to go into the game as underdogs. I don't care who you think are favourites, I only care that by late Saturday afternoon I'm celebrating a Leeds win.

To be fair, most Wire fans trying the psychology game are doing so with their tongue in their cheek, because claiming to be the underdog is about as valid as trying to claim that the London performance has any relation to what will happen on Saturday afternoon.
The truth is, if Wire play at their best, they will win.....We've outclassed Wigan and Saints in recent weeks, both of whom are, according to the league table, better than Leeds, so a similar showing should be enough to ensure a win.
However, most sensible folk realise that a side not at their best, whether by a simple loss of form, or an exceptional display from the opposition (like last year's play off match), can end in an unexpected result.

| Warrington are favourites by virtue of Leeds run of 5 successive CC Final chokes.

| Leeds at least need to learn the lessons from 2010, and will need to defend like they did in the WCC to have much chance. Funnily enough I suspect the game is a bit opposite otherwise - Wire as clear favourites this time, will probably try to blow Leeds out of the water early (which Leeds spectacularly failed to do to them in 2010).
I still believe an equally bad result this time could see the end of BM if its the 'highlight' of our season.

He had a different view in 2005 - yes, we played Bradford the week before Wembley and that cost us Keith and probably the final too. Then again, leaving Barrie out was a shock! It is lucky for Warrington we aren't at full strength as in recent times they havent done too well against a fully fit Rhinos.

I think that league results have been mostly 50/50 in the last few years.Maybe Leeds were missing a few in some of those, but that would also have been the case for Wire.

Apart from Stretcher Boy, who else will be missing for the final?

| Leeds have lost in six of the seven games McGuire has missed this season - and won nineteen of the twenty-three others. Leeds have also lost half the games they've played in that gawd-awful pink strip this year.
Leeds deserve to be the biggest outsiders since Featherstone in '83 and Sheffield in '98 to lift the Challenge Cup.

They'd need far more absentees than just McGuire to be considered as such.
Apart from his absence, it'll be a full-strength team to select from.
My glass is half full.

| Serious head on
Warrington are the big favourites and everyone knows it.
Leeds are without a very good half in McGuire which weakens the side and strengtens the case for a Warrington win.
Leeds are a big game team though and if they win i wouldn't be remotely surprised, my genuine feeling joking aside is it is more even than people think.
Both teams, on their day can play, and can play very very well, anyone who confidently thinks their team will win be they Wire or Leeds fans is surely naive to the game.

| How will Leeds replace the contribution McGuire has made to their last few Challenge Cup Finals?

| Completely agree HY i personally think our desperation for a CC win is what shades it for us imo but Mags is a huge loss and our defence has to be much much better than against the Dragons.
