| Thought he did well considering it was his first superleague experience. Looked strong and tackled hard. Didn't see much of him attack wise but would think he is worth another appearance based on last nights display. I would imagine his physique and speed aren't gonna change much as he's 22 years old. A new gym regime and a few special shakes may add a bit more bulk but he seemed able to handle the physical aspect, gametime would give him the experience that would deem him up to the task or not.

| Quote: Rastrick Rhino "We'd been stood in the ground a good 45 mins before you turned up with that thing, Why the hell should we have to move. You should do the right thing and leave the bloody thing at home where you bash to your hearts content.
I dont think it would be problem if you knew how to use it, My 18 month old duaghter plays the drum better than you.'"
I went into the ground an hour before kickoff. If you went in stupidly early, well done you.
I use the trum to keep the rhythm of the chants up so that people who are further than 30 feet away can hear it & keep up, which tends to be why chants die. I've said before, and will say again, I'm happy to try and support anything people want to get going. I wish some others would show the same attitude.
As for 'dropping club servants' and making lists, forgive me for pointing out available players who would improve the squad, and pointing out that some players have been underperforming. I thought JP was ace yesterday, and has been for the past three weeks. But before that, he had been poor. I'm happy he's playing better now.
As for 'screaming for change', I think you're getting myself & NE confused.

| I know this is off topic but while we're on the topic...
Why does someone feel they have the right to subject others to something they insist on doing?
Taking a drum to a game falls into the same category as someone smoking in a bus queue or someone on a train forcing the rest of the carriage to listen whatever crap music they play through their phone.
Was a poll taken or any consensus on the acceptability of having a badly played drum in the designated away stand?
I don't go in the South Stand at HQ partially because of the band but I don't really have much choice when going to away games and to be subjected to an out-of-time drum is, frankly, rude.

| If you think you can do better, get your own damn drum.
As is, it's only out of time if you're one of the half-brained group that insists on singing every song at half pace, and mixing one song no-one knows the words to with an incredibly witty and stirring number about one of our forwards' genitalia. The same group who spent the 2nd half of Huddersfield away in 2010 abusing our own fans, and refuse to join in any chant they don't start.

| I can do better - much better, I play the drums and I have my own kit and everything. I wouldn't dream of taking them to a game though.
Just imagine if everyone had your mentality - the terraces would be full of people badly playing whatever instrument they felt they wanted have a go at.
Oh and FYI - I don't stand with a group at away matches. Just me and the missus. But if there is a group of half-brained that insist on singing chants at half pace, I'd rather hear that than a drum that is out of time with them.
Anyway who made you God of the terrace chants?
Just because you take a drum to away games doesn't make you special... oh hang on... yes it does, it make you very 'special'.

He is like the pied piper of the fecktards. If he was banging his drum on the streets, they would follow.

How far do you take your theory?
I sit in the North Stand. A couple of rows behind me are a few fekkwits with no clue about the game. Should I insist they either get educated before sitting near me or watch the game with their mouth shut?
Why must they try and force their stupidity upon me.

People come with stupidity built in (and also with a mouth to exercise their stupidity) - if they were perfectly normal un-stupid people but had a big box of stupidity that they brought with them and then proceeded to sporadically ladle it onto the people around them then you would have the opportunity to relieve them of said stupidity.

Are you suggesting Tykes/Rhinos number 1 fan is usually not very annoying but the drum causes the annoyance?

I have not met the man behind the gloves in person but I believe that if you removed his drum he would be far less annoying.

Have you unleashed a nearby, heavily impacting, too close, box of stupidity ?

| Fat Boy-if you just want to stand and watch the game, you can do that from any part of the ground, and with a better view than from where we were standing.
