Dropping a player only to replace him with an inferior player who weakens the side isn't a good way to prolong a coaching career. Watkins and McGuire apart, that was the strongest side available to the coach IMO.
That he's being forced to race in F1 with a 1976 Morris Minor isn't entirely his fault. |

Ok I think I get it now. If Brian McDermott hadn't sold Eric Cantona we could have been reigning SL and World Club Champions by now.
...and here's another thing...If McDermott was any good at all he'd have done something about the bloody awful weather we've had to put up with at Headingley this season.
