| Got his 'winger' over lovely on Sunday after making the initial break with strength and excellent footwork.
You know it makes sense.

| Quote: bramleyrhino "Instead, should Leeds have let both clubs continue with their financial struggles? From what I gather, the act of signing the likes of Fleary, Sheridan, Hay and Powell, taking them off the pay-rolls of those clubs, helped them to remain in existence.
It's easy to point to Leeds as the bogeyman in all this, but Bradford's problems are largely of their own making.'"
Leeds spreading goodwill and charity to all in the good of the game.
Or highly incestuous insider trading vultures?
Depends on which club shirt you wear.

| Most people that reside in Bradford live in abject poverty (otherwise they wouldn’t live in Bradford). So asking them to stump up £100 for a zero return whilst in the depths of one of the worst financial downturns in modern history is optimistic to say the least.
Would I do the same for the Rhinos? No! I’d simply support another team and treasure the memories I have of Leeds. Rugby League first, team second.
I would be very saddened to see a once great team dwindle out of existence. Some of the best games I’ve seen Leeds play have been against Bradford and also it’d make for an odd number of teams in the league – the Magic Weekend just wouldn’t work.
Worst case scenario – Bradford fold next month.
What would happen to the teams that have already played them?
Would the teams that are scheduled to play them get a bye?
How would this affect the RFL who would now own a very expensive pit?

Or an arrangement that was mutually beneficial?
It was an arrangement that sutied both parties, was it not? Leeds acquire the talents of some good players, Sheffield and Keighley enjoy a cash injection and get some high earners off the pay-roll.
Or is it preferable for you for Leeds to just throw cash at other clubs for return whatsoever? Or to just not bother (like many other clubs)?
Or should the good that Leeds does for the wider game not be recognised? After all, we won't be the only club to be impacted by our dispute with HMRC over image rights.

| It makes the RFL decision to buy the Odsal lease seem a lot more sensible. Secures the stadium for whatever rises out of the ashes of the Bulls. Could Bradford Northern reappear?

With Leeds Utd. it wasn't selling off or giving away high-earning established players like Viduka and Kewell to inject cash and lower overheads that stuck in the craw as much as letting homegrown young players like Milner and Lennon go for peanuts and watching the local lads who could have helped recover the club turn into internationals elsewhere.
On an unrelated note, I notice the Wigan forum are all up for signing Bateman and Burgess.

| We need to know if this has a knock on effect.
Why did the RL invest in Odsal without going through due diligence to establish that their tenant was able to pay the rent. Have they taken a mortgage on the ground?
Can anyone tell me which clubs operated at a profit from their last published accounts. It's really easy, the RL give you some money from TV which you pay your players with, you know you'll get some money through the turnstiles and that pays for the rest. If you can't balance the books, you are a disgrace. Stop paying players enormous amounts of money. Aussie players expect to go and get a job at the end of their carear (see Scott Donald) to continue making a living, not to retire. Am i right in thinking that Saints made a loss last year even after 5 (as it was then) successive GF appearances. Don't hold them up as a success story just yet.
How is it that the RL can buy a ground - why do they have the money. Isn't it time that the clubs took control of the RL, shared out the TV money fully and got on with running 10 clubs within their means. Which 10, 1 Hull, 3 WY, 2 Ch, 2 GM, 1 Scouse and 1 French. Time to stop pumping money in to loss making businesses, let them go back to being community clubs.

| I'd hate to see Bulls go out of existance. For me one of my best early memories was standing at the away end at Odsal. I think the 5 narrow defeats to them in 2003, probably had a big bearing on the ability of this team to man up and win close games, that are seemingly lost.
We don't rely on the team directly. But having big teams like bradford go under harms the whole sport. I just can't see where it all went wrong for them.
On the upside, with the RFL owning Odsal, we could potentially have a RL national stadium in a few years

| The Bullsh*ts have been asset stripping players from struggling clubs for years (Lynch, Godwin, Platt etc). I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep if the sleeve took a couple of highly rated youngsters for a knock down price.
