Suggestions that Rob Burrow is an acceptable starting Hooker shows a real lack of understanding of the Hooking role in the modern era. A Hooker is arguably the most important position in the team. Everything starts with the Hooker.
His body language is all wrong. Its so predictable what he's going to do and he doesn't commit defenders before he passes.
For example, when scooting out of dummy half you look up towards the defensive line, drag the marker or line defender, suck them in then pass. More yards are made as the line is more stretched. He doesn't, he is never looking "up" to see whats on and who / where he should pass to. Our forwards were virtually none existent again Wigan, with the exception of Griffin & JJB. I believe this was due to no structure from dummy half when coming out of our own half, if the forwards have no confidence in the acting half they aren't going to run off him, not in a fully commited way anyway.
I didn't want to be to critical of Rob Burrow, he's an amazing strike weapon and has a key role to play in the team when used correctly.

Doubt you'll get one now bud ,but the western terrace is still available and will be mostly Leeds fans aswell if that helps. |
