its daft to say leeds were 'robbed', yeah the pass to lima was forward and leuluai's try came from a scrum which should have gone leeds way. but there were plenty of decisions which went leeds way which shouldn't. Leeds second try should have been disallowed as earlier in the set wigan should have had a penalty from ablett's 'play of the ball' if you call it that
www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ds_Rhinos/
watch from 59mins 25 seconds on and see for yourself.
Funnily enough the majority of leeds fans understand both teams received some harsh decisions, it seems to be the Warrington and Saints fans who have the biggest issue.

| As a neutrel, Leeds and Wigan play similar games and any mud throwing would need to be in both directions. The officials let various things go in both directions, including markers not nearly square, short flat/forward passes, late last man in tackles, holding down, lifting and dumping in the tackles etc etc....one particular shining moment in the first 20 minutes where Bailey was tackled and then over dramatised than he was being held down by thumping the defender 10 or 15 times on his back (held down or not, i's not allowed!).
As I say, it's hard to call the ref on this one as he tollerated offences from both teams, and allowed play to continue. If he'd blown for each offence we'd all be on here talking about how he spoiled what could have been a good game, with 30+ penalties.
Was a great day, and I am sure that Leeds will still be in the hunt for the Grand Final.

You would hope that Bailey would have learned his lesson after the last time he tried to over-dramatise a tackle by repeatedly punching the back of the tackler's head (Lee Radford).

What lesson would that be?
The one that proves some actions provoke a reaction in your opponent leading to him being sent off thus providing an advantage for your own team.
Why dont you post a video clip to illistrate your point.
On second thoughts ......no you will only embarrass yourself again.

| The lesson obviously being that if you punch someone in the back of their head they may just punch you in the front of yours.
Classic Bailey cowardice.

How embarrassing for you (again).
I assumme that you have seen the footage of Radford's retaliation. Not very impressive and not really on the front of Bailey's head.
However when it comes down to it I wouldnt imagine that taking a few punches to the head is something that would put a prop forward off of doing anything...being a prop forward and all that.
Would you tell Bailey to his face that he his a coward, or are you yet another keyboard warrior?

Ha ha, Bailey runs and hides at the first sign of trouble! Usually trouble he has started in the belief that his team-mates will protect him. And I'm dying to know how punching and elbowing people in the back of the head isn't cowardly.
Classic Leeds.

It isnt cowardly because it was done to provoke a reaction a la Radford.
Roughing someone up as calculated risk to incite retaliation and gain a penalty or more, in this case being punched in the head a few times surely cant be cowardly. Its rather like Tomkins milking penalties by trapping the arm but at a higher level.
If he was a coward would he (or any other player) really take to the field week in week out to play domestic RL at the highest level this country can offer? No I thought not.
Classic 'The EmbarrassingGlidingWarrior'

It's coming to something when the only way you can defend one of your players is to admit that he tries to provoke players by punching and elbowing them in the back of the head. Oh dear.

Not defending, answering your point about Bailey being a coward.
I thought everyone knew that these methods of provocation were Baileys spciality, what you would call 'Shithouse' tactics.
We know what Bailey gets up to an how he works and we dont deny it. Its not as if we think our players can do no wrong like certain other clubs now is it.
Now that you have embbarassed your self (for the umpteenth time) would you care to withdraw your statement that Bailey is a coward?

| Having read this thread I am astounded that nobody has pointed out the blatant cheating which cost Leeds the game. Outrageous unsporting conduct of Charnley not to put his hand up when he clearly knew he had touched the ball before it went into touch. I thought all players know that cheating is wrong and they never do it?
Yours Sincerely,
Mark Riddell, Thomas Leuluai and the Wigan Board on RLFans
