| Patterson does a weird little hop thing when he bowls? Sure it's him. Its like he stops mid-air just before he fires it in. Might have dreamt this...

Yes that's right.
Effective though, 7 wickets in the Essex game.

Damn striaght. It's quite a late action so maybe it puts the batsmen off?

| Great effort by England beating the Aussies they were gutted at the end and it's always good to see a well beaten Aussie.

| & yet another win for Yorkshire yesterday in the 40 over comp.
Somerset tomorrow at Taunton in the County Championship but without Capt. Gale on duty with the England Lions vs Bangladesh.
Fantastic performance by England. Well done Tim Bresnan & Ajmal Shahzad.

| Nice little holiday + medal for Shahzad having done nothing other than practice for a couple of weeks All good experience though, and will be good to have him back in the team, although we haven't missed him and Bresnan anywhere near as much as I feared we might! Good start at Somerset too this morning - amazing what a bit of confidence and a few wins can do for a team!

| Can't see what all the fuss is about concerning the South African born players in the England side - other teams have been doing it for years also without much of a fuss - for example Dirk Nannes played for the Netherlands against England last year before switching to the Aussies. Happens all the time in rugby as well. As long as we win stuff, I couldn't care less where our players were born.

| Ian Chappell & Ian Bishop were asked yesterday whether they had an issue with the SA/England debate & neither of them did.
It seems more of an issue for the English fans & press (so-called) but then you only have to look at the Mail on Sunday hatchet job on Triesman to see the press' view on most things.
They moan at England when they lose & still moan, nit-pick & find fault when they win.
Mind you they say that we get the press we deserve.
No point in me boycotting, the Mail I've never bought it on principle & never will.

| Massive win for Yorkshire today! The way the game was going, with them taking so long to bowl Warwickshire out, I thought they were going to blow a great chance to go clear at the top after Notts lost yesterday, but chasing 200 down in just over 30 overs was a pretty damn good effort! Decent little lead now, despite others having games in hand. A bit of rain over the next few weeks wouldn't go amiss now

| I was at Headingley today (& for the previous 3 days) it was an excellent win for the guys missing 2 top-line bowlers & our captain & frontline batsman.
Shows that 4 day cricket can be exciting in a different & better way than T20 or Pro40.
& yes I know they were missing players too - Bell, Trott & Woakes.

| They're really doing the whole T20 thing to death at the moment - playing way too many games of what is, in effect, glorified village cricket - bit too "6 or out" esque for my liking. It's been good to follow Yorkshire in a "proper" cricket match again! What was your gut feeling as the day went on? When Clarke and Tahir were knocking it about a bit, I was starting to think our chance had gone, then the last couple of wickets gave us a foot in the door.... had no idea if they were going to pull it off though as I wasn't sure how many overs were available. Once we got going, was there ever any doubt or was it nip and tuck all the way?
