You didn't read my post, honeybunch. I said I was obtaining vicarious pleasure from the fact that it is a Leeds player this year who is getting vilified rather than a Saints player, as it was last year in the person of Wello. Remember? I'm sure you do.
So forgive my little indulgence. It's one I cannot resist. However, that does not detract from the obvious truth that Mcguire was naff yesterday. Some of your fellow fans can accept this truth; others alas have issues.
Now, I have been consistent in saying that Sinfield was good in the second half and Lee Smith improved when he was played at wing (which is where he should play against the Kiwis, so long as he remembers that he needs to defend the spot as well as score tries). Peacock wasn't so hot but he was playing out of position and so IMO can be given some leeway as a result. Hopefully he'll find some of his usual international form for the Kiwi game. I would imagine Smith will swap him back for that match given his size and aggression (both of which we need against the Kiwis).
I believe I have also said on here elsewhere that Roby was poor at nine and he improved when moved, so like I said: I am talking as an England supporter, not a Saints supporter. The season is over and done with. I'm all immersed in the international stuff at present.
Pity Lebanon didn't beat so-called Scotland. At least Lebanon do actually play rugby league.
