| Let me get this right.
Tarantino's directed a WWII porno, shot from a Jewish perspective?

| Quote EmmaMur01="EmmaMur01"So you are saying that some Jews in occupied France didn't hide their identities?
'" No, that is clearly not what I am saying. How on earth have you gleaned that?
I am saying that the film didn't treat the subject matter seriously.

| Quote Tony Soprano="Tony Soprano"I must confess I've not done the full Dylan discography, just all of his stuff that I have come across was a bit sameish to me, I was just a twinkle in 1965
Does the electric phase not get mentioned in the Dylan household'"
No, the outrage was from his army of pre-65 folk club beatniks in their dufflecoats, beards and sandals, and the blokes dressed pretty much the same way too.
You should visit the famous video review web site and type in something like "bob dylan don't look back" to see the hilarious exerpts from the film documentary of that time, the gigs when Dylan played two halves, one for the traditional folky beatniks and then the second half when the band got out their electric instruments and all hell let loose in the audience.

Wasn't Dylan widely called 'Judas' at the time ?

Quote G1="G1"Yes. Most of those are based upon facts '"
It wasn't ever advertised as a serious factual film though was it?? In fact before we went to the pictures, Danny told me it was more of a comedy. Whilst the subject matter is serious and certain facts were included, certain aspects of the film were funny.

| Quote Ryan Jarman="Ryan Jarman"I'm not a massive Tarantino fan really, Pulp Fiction is the most over rated piece of garbage in cinema history IMO.
However I thought IB was fantastic, and certainly the best film this year. That being said, I thought Brad Pitt was awful in it on reflection. His part was over acted. The Jew Hunter steals the show in this one.'"
Brad Pitt isn't really in the film a right lot though to say he's the lead, all the main long scenes like the first scene at the house, pub shoot out and a few others he's not in any of them.
Agree about the Jew Hunter though reckon Christoph Waltz could get an Oscar nomination!

You said the film had a serious storyline.

We are going round in circles!!!!!!
Quote G1="EmmaMur01"So the fact that the story opens with nazis shooting a Jewish family, and then moves onto one of the family members trying to get revenge on the said soldier is not serious??'"

He won the main prize at Cannes by all accounts.
Stunning performance though, it could well go down in cinema history.
