You should visit the famous video review web site and type in something like "bob dylan don't look back" to see the hilarious exerpts from the film documentary of that time, the gigs when Dylan played two halves, one for the traditional folky beatniks and then the second half when the band got out their electric instruments and all hell let loose in the audience.

It wasn't ever advertised as a serious factual film though was it?? In fact before we went to the pictures, Danny told me it was more of a comedy. Whilst the subject matter is serious and certain facts were included, certain aspects of the film were funny.

Brad Pitt isn't really in the film a right lot though to say he's the lead, all the main long scenes like the first scene at the house, pub shoot out and a few others he's not in any of them.

Agree about the Jew Hunter though reckon Christoph Waltz could get an Oscar nomination!

If anyone wants to "get into" Dylans early stuff, and there are some amazing songs in his repertoire, you could do worse than find a copy of "Greatest Hits Vol 2" released in the early seventies its got some huge songs on it.

What a steaming bag of sh[sizei[/sizete this film is. Two and a half hours of my life I will never get back.

I wasn't expecting perfect historical accuracy, but (highlight small spoiler) certainly better than 4 yanks single handedly winning the war in a night that Tarantino has just dreamed up in his head! Aaand the 'humour' wasn't even funny.

All in all it was godawful...the acting was pretty good yes, but the plot was ridiculous, and it was easily an hour too long.
