So, none then...just as I thought

| Quote: fiddestherhino "If he is anything like Toopi, we should cancel his signature asap!
Toopi never ever did anything to impress me. Hardly scored, dropped balls, missed tackles and was injured for ages!'"
Extremely harsh and extremely wrong. Now try explain to me where this so called centre problem came from? I think you'll find it was after Toopi's injury that ended his Leeds career. The guy wasn't much to shout about compared to Godden, Senior & Carroll but he was a great defender, solid in attack and his first season apart he was much better than Chris McKenna.

| If I remember rightly, Toopi was outstanding in the 2007 Grand Final - some awesome hits in defence. I always thought he was a lot better than he was given credit for - he had one bad patch, and rather than getting behind the bloke as a true fan should do, the boo boys were all over him like a rash - some people really need to look up the definition of the word "supporter"!

| Toopi also filled in at loose forward a few times i seem to remember, or at least the back row, his defence suited playing there in fairness.

| Quote: Richie Ramrod "In this case its a season ticket reducer, its a shocking signing, absolutely pointless, he is way off the likes of Watkins, Ratu and Gibson.
My mate has just emailed me from Aus and he hasnt stopped laughing since the news broke!!'"
Are you saying that Watkins, Ratu and Gibson would get a game every week in the NRL? No wonder your mate laughs at you.

| Quote: Damo-Leeds "Leeds Rhinos do produce enough English quality in Danny McGuire, Rob Burrow, Kevin Sinfield and Lee Smith to name a few. Them four Leeds Rhinos players alone would fit into any team world over in rugby league as would many English rugby league players we have over here.
'"
You think Burrow would get in at the cowboys, who have Jonathan Thurston ?
You think McGuire would get into Brisbane with Lockyer?
They would all struggle to get into most NRL sides, but on the other hand they would walk into most -if not every- SL side.
By the way, I didn't come on here to have a dig, just wanted to say I think this will be a good signing for you, good solid player, nothing spectacular, but from what i've seen he will definitely do well in SL.

Thank God for that. I thought I was in a weird twilight zone kind of thing where everyone else was seeing something different to me just then.

| The only logic I can see behind the signing of a lump of lard like Brett Delaney is that Leeds genuinely want/expect Watkins/Ratu whoever to become first choice centres and want someone who can slot in as required due to injuries.. Delaney is solid but that really is about it, and TBH the sort of signing that NO SL side should be making. I really can't understand it if its not something to do with being able to gradually bring say Ratu and Watkins on as first choice centres.
And yes, I've seen him play several times live, and have absolutely nothing positive to say about him otherwise - he's the sort of player you just don't notice.

| Hopefully it will work out as per Tronc, who thankfully Leeds have avoided signing.
