Seriously, WTF are you on about? Yes, I want Leeds to win but if they lose there is no point getting worked up over it. I enjoyed the game yesterday but was annoyed at the moaning s around me. Its sport FFS, there is more to life.
Quins were enjoyable to watch. They got thier tactics spot on and strangled us out of the game.
In fact the most displeasing part of the game for me was when Burrow scored! We didnt deserve it and it would have done us more good not to hae gone over.

Anyway regardless of that, we are still joint 2nd FFS!! I didnt hear the Saints fans boo thier team tonight even though they lost to the worst Bulls team in History.
Tonight was an embarressment, especially as we had guests who went into the SS to taste a bit of the atmosphere they played in front of 10 yeasrs ago.'"

As explained I thought that was aimed at Silverwood and on the Saints board quite a few thought it as towards Silverwood too.

| I do wish some of the people on here would get over themselves with the 'I'm a lover of the game' stuff.
Newsflash! We all are, hence the fact that we watch Rugby League and discuss it at length on internet forums.
Harlequins were imaculately coached last night. They played a simple but hugely effective game. That isn't trying to be superior or denegrate their efforts, simple is, 90% of the time, best in our game. leave the over-complicated mire to the Rah Rahs. On almost evert PTB you could see their forwards in place and ready take the ball at speed. Result, consistent metres up the middle. In the later tackles, they looked to spread the ball, but only when the state of the game allowed. Their kicking was considered, ours a result of panic on so many occasions.
Our performance was dire in almost all respects. McGuire has become a 'luxury' we can't afford. If those who profess a love of the 'wider game' stopped to think, they'd know that he has been short-changing us in terms of 'tactical' play for some time. Yes, his fleet of foot antics once in a while can be impressive, but running down blind alleys and failing to appreciate how the rest of your team are set are not acceptable at this level, no matter how much you skip and jump around. He sells himself dummies at times!
Others have summarised our pack, doesn't need repeating. The players, by and large, are capable enough. We have no structure, form or plan. That means we need huge improvements away from match days.
I was delighted that Quins were applauded, they deserved it (Chad Randall has to have one of the best RL brains in SL). They had a superb travelling support (seemed like more than Wakey can manage!). I didn't boo but I won't get all holier than thou with those who did. So what if some of them only started watching when the Rhinos were successful? What are people suggesting? Supporter 'suffering apprenticeships' at Hunslet before you qualify or a place at Headingley? Success equals bigger crowds (story of professional sport) equals good squads and facilities etc etc.
Simple really.

Makes all the points I would have liked to have made with intelligent considered profundity.
Coming up from Cheshire for the last two home games with all that expectation of getting my money's worth was somewhat obliterated. I didn't boo ( I was too shell shocked having seen such lethargy from our forwards apart from Buderus - Bailey is a particular waste of space ) ...but I would certainly hesitate to expend such money again unless the roots of the problem are resolved very very soon.
McGuire tried...but his ability to beat himself more often than the opposition is embarrassing.

Yes it is different. You think that booing a team OFF after they have put in a bad performance is not different to shouting abuse at ONE PLAYER BEFORE he has played the match?
BTW - it wasn't sarcastic applause. You know that and I know that.
Slightly off on a tangent. Would you have Toopi in the team at the moment if he was fit and well?

You wouldn't boo the team if they were bottom and got 50 points put on them by Cas?
'" Not this team, no. Not me.
You see, our fekkwitts who slate a player like Harris and throw around the term "loyalty" really don't understand what it means.
I'll tell you what it means to me. It means to me that this group of players is the greatest collection in our clubs history. Before they came along, we'd been champions 4 times in over 100 years. These boys have brought us 3 championships in 5 years and I don't think they're quite done yet, despite some defeats in April.
This is our time in the sunshine. This is the greatest era in our clubs history. Legendary names like Lewis Jones, Arthur Clues, John Holmes and David Ward didn't do what these lads have done. This era won't last, of course it won't. But whilst these lads are in the shirt they'll get no boo-ing from me, even if they don't win another game for the next three years.
You see, I crave loyalty from the players, just like other fans. But the players deserve our loyalty too, especially players who have delivered what these lads have.

Excellent post. And it't nice to see that the majority are now start to see that we have a problem. Rather than just get all arrogant, and profess it's between us and Saints.

Our attendances are now beginning to fall, 14 500 last season compared with 13,900 for the same fixture - people are voting with their feet. Ask GH if he misses 600 supporters. What will the attendances be at the end of the season if we continue to deliver the garbage that has been served up in the last two home fixtures.'"
