He's average with a criminal lack of pace at SL level, but thats not to say he can't do a job until a better option becomes available.

Would be a steady choice if we had a rampaging 2nd row running in the centres, or is this a dif subject!!

I generally dont see why people are disputing Gibsons potential, yes he hasn't been spectacular for Leeds as of late, but alot of players aren't exactly setting the house on fire atm are they. Going back to before Gibson started with his poor run of injuries he was showing class potential and after the injuries he's had it's hard to get back into the swing of things, i know. Its only a matter of time before Gibson shows what he really can do, and proves all the doubters wrong

I think we can say he is solid enough but needs to start offering something more soon.

If Watkins improves his defence Gibson will be replaced but until then its a flip between the two.

Gibson had a solid game last night. He seemed to read the game well and a couple of times read Huddersfields attack very well. Nothing outstanding but for me he made that wing look alot more solid (Minus Donalds best efforts) The lads been out for a long time with some pretty bad injuries, give him time to get back into it. I do believe its Lee Smiths position to come back into though, and for me Gibson will then be a good back up whilst noone else is recruited.

Generally agree with this....just so long as we don't persist in bringing back Ablett into the centre. A combination of Gibson on defence with Watkins on attack would be good....but until then it must be Smith (if he stays with us ??), Gibson, Watkins ....or McGuire icon_eek.gif ..before Ablett.

Good to see us working better in attack last night....but Senior is a cut above the rest of our threequarters at the moment (and that is worrying). Donald certainly needs him.... I would still have in the left wing position if only for his extra pace over Hall, given Senior's ability to put his wingman in space.

His tackling was very commited last night. He read things pretty well and made some solid impacts. He came in once in the first half and made a terrific hit 5 yards out. I do like the way he sticks to the player he's tackling - very limpit like. Sinfield out on the right first half made a significant difference as well.
What does he offer us? Who can tell so far? Not much going forward yet, but increasing dependability in defence - possibly.

imo it took disco until the second half of the 07 season to stop looking like a passenger in the team after his injury at the end of 04 so imo its only fair gibbo be given the same time by us. not sure gibbo will get the time from the club but thats what the cap will do to some players.

Agree solid in defence but no threat to score from distance.
