To my mind we have a serious problem in the centres, we never replaced Toopi, Abblet is a good squard player but not top class, Senior how much lomger can he play. Is Smith a centre if so is he staying, Watkins to young to be expected to play week in week out, Glesson would have been a good buy.
Need to replace Ellis, at least till Eastwood comes a clear weakness and finally we need another Prop, Feel our front row don't have pressure on them to perform, lossing Scrutton was a loss. Finally McGuire has not been performing, against Salford he was a terrible he needs pressure from others to keep him on his game.

My god. We must be in a far worse state than I realised. We need two centres, a second row, a prop, and a stand off. GH should open the cheque book and get signing. Get rid of all the years of recruiting from within and balancing the books. This is after all the the best time to spending money, with the economy as strong as it is. my thoughts re- eastwood, think thats why he went to bulldogs & not warriors, as they came bottom last year but they seem to be going ok this year.

Someone mentioned McGuire needs some pressure on him. I do agree to this and I still think we should have pushed to sign Greg McNally. i think he would have been good competition for Mcguire and Burrow but probably not until next season

My comments were made about what i see as weakness in the side, and if they are not addresses in the next 12 months we will not be in the top three in SL. By the way Leeds can use the present economic climate to get good players on the cheap. We are one of few clubs in a good financal postion so we should use it.

I'd also like us to - at most - sign new overeseas players only as direct replacements for departing ones, at least in numbers.

TBH when I look at the squad I think the only major weakness if everyone's on form is a strike forward, with centre hopefully a short-term weakness until one of the youngsters grabs the spot. The problem this season has been lack of form not lack of quality players.

The diminishing quota should see to that anyway given that for 2010 the limit on overseas trained players falls to 6.
