| Bailey's forearm was very similar to the one Mathers got sent off for (from memory raised into the same player I believe) last season V Wakey only that time it was Wakey referee Thaler in charge.
Was Thaler right or was Ganson right? or did Mathers thugish tendencies go against him as compared to the angelic reputation of the Leeds no.16?

I have an immense dislike for him as a player, he offers nothing except penalties to the other team. He never breaks a tackle, he makes little or no ground, and he never wins a collision to get a quick play the ball. He's utterly worthless.'" Ari Gold's detailed and spot on analysis of Ryan Bailey.
Whino fekkwittism at its' best.

Law of averages, he's bound to have one decent game a season.

Lets hope so, I'd like to think he would play as well as he did on a more regular basis.

| Seems that Bailey bloke didn't have a bad season after all.
Still, some would have preferred Scruton.......who I hear you ask

| Robbed of a Grand Final try by that nasty Mr Ganson. Was that the only time (when the ball ended being grounded over the line) that Steve didn't go to the video ref all night?
Let's hope Bailey can bring some consistency to his improved showings at the back end of the season. He's the type of player you want in your side when he's on his game, no doubt.

| Quote: Matt23 "I would have. Bailey had an immense game in the Grand Final, we all saw that. I'm really hoping this is a kickstart for his career, remembering props do not reach their peak until their late 20's. He has the potential undoubtedly. However if I had to pick one of the two, I'd take Scruton, and it would take another 10 Grand Final 09 standard performances from Bailey to convince me otherwise.'"
I think he really stepped up after returning from injury and lets not forget he wasn't the only one who had a form dip earlier in the season cut the lad some slack he's a 4 time GF winner and still has years ahead of him.

| Saying that I think Scruton is a better player is not having a go at Bailey at all. Bailey has yet to live up to the potential that I believe he has (on a consistent basis), and I hope he can use the back end of this season as a springboard to play himself back into international recognition. The form he has shown week in week out over the past few seasons wouldn't get him near a representative jersey, more performances like Saturdays would. IMHO.

Whenever I've seen the Bulls on TV, Scruton has looked a poor second to Andy Lynch and no better than the likes of Craig Kopczak.
He's another one who fled Leeds believing the grass to be greener only for it to result in potentially terminal career decline. He needs to get back to a big club and better players ASAP.
