| Quote: chris_leeds "Also, I (me, personally!) can't see the game from behind the sticks. I'm sure if that's what you're used to then you'll be well used to it over the years but IMO you can never tell how far from the line we are, how close to touch we are, if the chase is good on a kick, who's likely to reach the bomb first, if a pass is forward etc. Drives me mad at away games.'"
Most of the one-eyed fekkwits can hardly tell if there's a forward pass or offside anyway. They moan at any decision to have a go at the referee, even if he's spot on.

| Quote: Matt23 "Should re-do the Southstand as it is minus the pillars, maybe abit bigger. Above it there should be corporate facilities, boxes and a balcony all the way across, with enough seats for the people in the boxes but no more. I just don't think you can justify another 2000 seats in the ground when the Carnegie Upper rarely (if ever) sells out.
Whatever happens we cannot go to an all seated Southstand, if that happened and we didn't win anything for a couple of years the crowds would be back down to 10,000 average IMO.'"
Good enough reason to make it all seater!
The number of Chavvy s who now attend Rhinos matches is directly proportional to the number of trophies Leeds have won over last few years.

Simply not true.
I've followed rugby league since I was 5 years old. My cousin is a former British Lion and now a professional coach. I've had a season ticket for every season since it became Summer rugby, (I'm only 23 too so that's since I was 10 years old) and before season tickets I still went to the winter games (just without a season ticket, missed the odd match.)
I choose to stand in the South Stand, not because I'm poor and can't afford the other, but because I like standing up, and I like been on the side of the pitch (not behind the sticks).
I'm more than happy for you to say "most", as "most" is accurate! There are 90% in the SS who don't have a clue what they're talking about, but you can't say "all" it's just simply not true.

I was just using it to illustrate that I come from a Rugby family, talking about rugby at home, growing up with matches, travelling to Paris SG on the team coach with the players. Just illustrating a point that not all SSer's are complete idiots who know nothing.
Most... Yes! All... No!
I think you're all been pretty quick to have a dig at the people who choose to stand in SS. When really, you should be showing them some gratitude for making the Headingley experience what it is.

There are two Headingley Experiences. One when we are winning and one when we are losing.
The support when we are losing is woeful so I dont really need to show gratitude to them for that.

I thought he meant the Experience of pi$$ed up chavs causing trouble, resulting in the clampdown on anti-social behaviour last season.

In that case I'm truly grateful for them forcing the club into such measures.

| Why are people so against having idiots at the club. These are the sort of people that we should be glad to have. Without the idiots and hangers on, we would have far less income to spend on improving our team, squad and facilities. While these things happen, in theory, the good times should continue to roll, which attracts more people, and the cycle goes on.
Would you rather support a well run club, which is sucessful on and off the picth, who have a larger number of fans who know little about the game, or support someone like huddersfield, who may well hve a high RL IQ, but will forever be considering a 5k crowd as good, whilst looking forward to the next time Leeds are in town.
Finally, nearly every person who walks through the turnstiles ar headingley for the first time knows little about RL or Leeds. I imagine that our resident Oracles of the game on here have been known to ask stupid questions, or shout stupid things at the refs and players. What happens is that people come along, get hooked on the action, then begin to learn the game and become more knowledgeable.
This generations Damo could be the next generations Gareth1

This is all very true.
This is why I go.
Unfortunately for the club, on the three occasions that I attended last year I didn't pay anything.
But still,

It proves that I've grown up around rugby. That I'm from a rugby family. That rugby is in my blood. That rugby is a talking point at most family occasions. That rugby is more than a game to me.
P.s. If I liked to name drop... surely I would've mentioned his name?
