May I be the first to remind you that you're really not in a position to gloat.

Surely its about winning the title.
I never understand when people say if we win the title it could do more harm than good....the whole point is to try to win the title.
It's like saying winning the lottery was the worst thing that could happen to you because if you had £10 million it would make you lazy and maybe less likely to work hard and get a well paid job.'"
Trouble is imo, there is about as much chance of Leeds winning the title this year as there is of me winning the lottery (and I don't even buy tickets.)

Spot on.
We are playing way below our best atm but we are capable of turning it around. Stick by the team, these same players had the last laugh last season and although it may seem a long way off they can do it again.

| If Leeds somehow manage to win it then its definately never a bad thing. The Grand Final and Playoffs last year felt as good as any of the previous ones, the big difference is that you can't look back at the whole season like you could in the 4 previous winning seasons when we finished either 1st or 2nd and say you enjoyed it.
Also people are wrong to keep saying that the GF win cost us in the long run as we then kept together the team on the back of that. The squad this year would of still looked the same as this no matter what, as most squads are pretty much set for next season well before the playoffs come around in terms of recruiment and who you let go. Had we crashed out in the first week of the playoffs it would of been too late to make any signings by that point unless you're a club like Warrington who can splash the cash on transfer fees.

| It felt better than some of others in my opinion. That night at Warrington was incredible. Seems a long time ago but that is probably along with the 2003 semi final my best none final experiencw

| If it did happen I think The RFL would maybe need to rethink the playoff format.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Can you be certain, maybe you are playing at your best? This is this season, not last season.

I am pretty certain we are not playing our best atm.
Whether our best form will be good enough to win anything is another question.

| We're certainly capable of a lot better. I actually saw a few positive signs in the Wire game although the number of negative posts on here makes me wonder whether I was hallucinating. The first half hour was disastrous, no question, but so was our start in last year's CC final. In both games I thought the team showed a bit of backbone thereafter. Nonetheless the team's playing badly at present and the rugby gods are having some fun at our expense. Like many, I worry about a lack of creativity and the scarcity of occasions that we breach the defensive line. However, once the play offs come around the emphasis may change and we may see the creativity of other teams inhibited as the desire to minimise errors increases. In short, I'm not writing our chances off. No team matches our play off experience.

Saints have similar play off experience to us for sure.
How much of the improvement was down to Warrington taking their foot off the gas knowing the game was over as a contest.

I don't think the core of the current Saints team has the experience ours does.
Your second point is moot; my perception was that Warrington were getting jittery until Briers dropped a goal. Are they really the type of team to take their foot off the gas? They usually do the opposite, running in a cricket score once they get into a situation where other teams might do just that.
