Much better than last week but suppose it had to be.
Our defence was good for most of the game but a few lapses did cost us. Giants deserved the win but not too disappointed with the perfomance. I thought Ward showed a lot of promise after a shaky start. We lacked a bit of attacking flair which was understandable with the players missing. We tried to go from dummy half near the line to often when gaps were out wide.
Thought Peacock was Mom tonight. He always leads the way with hitups and metres made and he led the way tonight. Moore impressed and his ability to offload looked our best attacking weapon at times

Keith Senior was right, he comes over as being arrogant, I thought we were vastly improved at not questioning his decisions, but maybe that was just coz Webby was out.

Fellas whilst Cummings remains Refs controller we are never gonna improve the dross that Silverw##k and Alibert dish up week after week.

IMHO Ward was outstanding - I really believe that this lad is the real deal. For a young-un he showed real maturity.

We were always going to struggle with Webb, McGuire and Burrow missing - also Bailey and JJB missing didn't help.

I think the thing that really let us down was our last tackle option - how many time this week (and last) were we caught in possession on the last?

Giants beat us fair and square and deserved their win.
The big plus for us was the performance of Stevie Ward who should have won MOM .
It seems you have forgotten who we are.
We are the current SL Champions and best team in the World apparently.

Can tonights performance not be put down in the most part to the young age of some of the players on the pitch? Ward, Hood, McShane obviously all lack big match experience. Watkins, Hardaker, Jones Bishop and Clarkson have still only been in the side a year or in some cases two. Smith hasn't played a lot recently. Then factor in that Leuluai and Delaney seemed to do fair stints on the touchline and it is fairly clear why the side struggled. The pressure on Sinfield and Peacock to unite the team and bridge the gap between young and old was obvious. By playing narrower perhaps to compensate against some of the physiques of the younger guys, Huddersfield hit us on the wings. By playing wider to counterbalance they isolated the younger guys down the middle.

Ultimately the game has to be put down to a fantastic experience for some of the emerging stars in the side, but with Huddersfield playing some clinical rugby at times, the result wasn't surprising.

I may be mistaken but I thought most of the giants breaks came up the middle.

BJB was unlucky with the kick by the winger for the 3rd try, but the BBC report crucifies him for it. Not too sure what else he could have done, should be interesting viewing Monday.

Well I thought he was fast asleep when the ball was kicked. Had Smith or Webb come up with that mistake no doubt many on here including myself would critisise.

was a good game to watch alot of errors from both sides and 2 breaks in the second half from us won us the game. one thing as a giants fan im very impressed with us is our goal line defence this season which has won us games at wigan and at home to saints and again what i thought won us the game 2night.

also i dont think leeds have the same go forward with out burrow but thats expected with the class he is, robbo is the same for us and his return helped. dont niether side playerd to what they are capable of but a good game never the less

i do like the look of your young half back very good talent one to watch for the future.

I thought that due to three of our most pivotal players missing in McGuire,Burrow and Webb that we were far too predictable in attack, we didn't have enough variation out there.

I thought JP, Moore and Griff made some good impact up the middle

I don't know if it is just me but we look like a side that has dropped it's intensity a quite a few notches, we all know you can't play every week and over a whole season with this high tempo and intensity as you have nothing left in the tank at the back end of the season.

I thought Ward had a very good game, he made some wrong calls at times, but his defense and his running were very good

I would like to see him play when the three players above are back where we could stick him on in the back row so he can run off those guys plays as well as playing some footy of his own

No doubt it will be the youngsters who get the blame, or indeed with many of the supporters on here it will be Smith.

Thought we were clueless with ball and no composure at all. Had we thought about it a bit more I am confident we would have scored a lot more points.

Thought BJB looked very good with ball in hand, but an absolute turnstile in defence, regardless of the kick try.

Hall looks in desperate need of a rest. Looked very unfit. Looked laboured and overweight. Thought Huddersfield knew what they were doing kicking to him most times.

As expected the hooker position is starting to look a bit of an issue for us. Thought McShane was poor in all honesty. We looked better when Hood came on, but think that was more down to the stage of the game been more tired legs, and I think his defence is worse than McShanes.

Main issue for me is the poor backrow options. With Ablett at Loose, there is no attacking threat whatsover from the backrow. People can laud up Delaney all they like, but they forget the massive gaps he leaves, and the fact that for all his yards he is not capable of passing a ball, using footwork, or looking even the slightest bit threatening. Clarkson is just a mirror image, of making the tackles when in front of him, but no threat whatsoever.

Ward for me was brilliant, and IMO the man of the match considering his experience to others.

Terrible game - very poor standard, the number of simple mistakes made by both sides was far too many for elite level.

Virtually every Huddersfield try came from a line break down the middle of the defence. Smith got a lot of stick last week but BJB was much worse this week. The frustrating thing is we have two potent attacking players in Hall and Watkins and both hardly got any ball. Hardaker seems to have got second season syndrome and his play has stagnated, I am sure he will improve but at the moment his form isn't helping matters. The attack - Ward apart - looked pedestrian at best.

The hooking position also needs addressing - McShane doesn't appear to be the answer, his silly elbow in the face lead to the first try and his attacking options were poor all night. Burrow has the attacking capability but he can't lead the defensive line as a hooker should do and Hood looks a little lightweight at the moment.

Finally I lost count of the number of plays were both Peacock and Kylie were not available to take the ball up because they hadn't made it back into the attacking line. McDermott needs to re-think having both on the field at the same time. Kylie's second spell was a disaster his defence was appalling.

On a positive - Ward looks like a throwback - a loose forward with speed, good hands and excellent footwork, it would interesting to see him Sinfield and McGuire on the field at the same time.

If you thought Hall was anything above poor last night then I don't believe you actually went. Not blaming him, as I thought Huddersfield targetted him to tire him. But he looked really lethargic.

Playing outside Hardaker is doing him no favours tbh.
