The Wire fan in question is desperate for a win against Saints but clearly has little confidence in his team overcoming them. I can understand why given the historical record of results between them during the SL era. The inclusion of Wellens and Graham in the Saints team just makes Wire's job even more difficult.

If Saints were playing Wigan or Leeds this weekend, do you think (given that those matches are clearly not as important as the mighty Wire match!!) that Wellens & Graham would be given an extra week to recover? Yes or No?

To answer your question.....of course they would play against Leeds/Wigan.... no one ever said otherwise.... but probably not against a team like castleford or Hull KR

So lets roll back 4/5/6/7 (i could go on) seasons when we were not challenging at the top... and we were not winning cups... yet this record existed and saints WERE risking players who were not fully fit because of the record...... NOT because we were challengers to their league position.
