It's about time Sir Kevin got am OBE for his Rugby League status. If he was playing that other code, he would have had one by now.

I am hoping rugby league will get a look in this year,and I am hoping for either Kevin or Jamie Peacock,but will Kevin accept such an award given his reputed political stance

With his first conversion at Castleford on Friday Sinfield passed 100 points for the 9th consecutive season. The two years previous to that run starting in 2003 he just missed out by recording 99 and 96 respectively.

Kevin Sinfield is closing in on a thousand (2 point) goals in the SL Regular Rounds. He currently stands on 991 after the 8 he kicked at Castleford on Friday.

Lewis Jones kicked 1,244 goals during his Leeds career. I have no way of seperating that out into conversions/penalties - drop goals as all goals were counted as two points at that time.

Kevin Sinfield has kicked 1,174 + 26 drop goals for a comparable total of 1,200.

On that basis he will have every chance of knocking off the remaining 44 to equal the current record during the current season.

In addition Sinfield is also now within sight of becoming Leeds' all-time top marksman. Chasing down Lewis Jones goal-kicking record of 1,244 Sinfield is 17 away on 1,227 (including drop goals)

Passing the records held by Deacon and Jones in the same week is now a possibility.

Due to the differential points scoring of the respective Eras though Sinfield still requires 60 goal-kicking points to equal Jones' mark of 2,488 so that one remains on hold for now.

Leeds only I think. Neil Fox would have most of the points/goals records for career.

Danny McGuire must be within spitting distance of becoming Leeds' 5th highest tryscorer as well - he was close to Les Dyl at the en of last season.
