Wow yet your policy under your hero was to agree with has beens the out of form or blatantly injured to be selected on a continuous basis because MC knew best.

Yes, for quite a few of their fans judging from their redvee board. Though doubtless they didn't perceive the problem til Catalans p***ed in their shandies.

| Overall Moon has been a class act for Leeds. Thought he was very good last week. He will be important in the weeks to come given we are missing many of our higher quality players.
I've never seen the new kid, be good see him get chances next year but surely the plan can't be to start him as first choice 6, given he has never played a game at even championship level. Leeds have a talented 18 year old at FB who has been getting knocked about all year, we can't pair that up with an 18 year old rookie stand off. Not fair on them or good enough from the club . As an aside Danny Richardson is 21.
Leeds should be bringing mclelland through but IMO need an established player at 6 next year.

| Lolohea will play stand off next year, my worry is that the club think they can get by with Sutcliffe / Handley in the centre.

You need 3-4 half backs as players will always get injured/suspended etc. Havining lolohea myler mcclelland is minimum

| The problem we have is, without Watkins we have two centres who would not get into another top eight side. You should have two centres including Watkins who would.
We have had no stand off, and no kicking game whatsoever. Hopefully we have solved the stand off, but unsure whether that solves the kicking game. However that could be solved elsewhere if we used our heads.
We have one quality prop in Cuthbertson who isn’t really used as a prop, and another in Garbutt who is rarely available. The rest of the props are pretty much the same, really your 3rd and 4th prop should be a higher quality than what we go with.
We have one decent second rower, and rarely get him on the pitch.
At loose we keep playing our prop, in this obsession that forward coaches do if the extra prop. It limits your attacking structure and makes things boring. Saints don’t do it, Wigan don’t do it, Cas don’t do it. Why can’t we play a proper loose there. A player who can give good hands in a pivot role. A player who can also kick to take the pressure off the halfs. We could have been doing that with Smith, but for some reason overlook it. Not sure that over looking is going to help for a long term solution.

The obsession began when Sinfield moved out to 6 so it meant wd needed another big body defending close to the middle as Burrow was no good playing hooker defending the middle. We do not need that as we have two proper hookers. We gave a natural foitbalker in C smith whi should be playing there every week and if ward is ever fit he can/should be pkaying there.I was critical if Smith but rwallt piked the look og him when he had played. He needs an extended run at 13 to alue him to develep. (And lean up 8-10kg in off season)

Cuthbertson hasn't been a quality prop this year too intent on playing like a 6 & often "missing" when the tough stuff was required.
We need at least 2 BR & a quality Prop as priority before we look elsewhere plus a better Coaching & Cinditioning set up.

| For ward’s spell today, he seemed to be playing 6, and I know it was against lower opposition, but he was pretty good in attack, broke the line and put a few decent passes in. Looked more comfortable there than both Sutcliffe or moon have this year.

| Probably hard not to look better than them.
Cuthbertson as a class prop is a myth. He's done very little since 2015, and if you took the 2 basic requirements for a prop - hard running and strong defence - he'd be near the bottom of the list amongst the other Leeds props. He can do better, but its never been his strength.

That's because his conditioning is terrible. He gets gassed too early, stays out to long and is ineffective.
2015 he was the perfect foil for us in the way we went about tearing teams apart, since we've dropped massively from that he's being asked to do what he cant and is found wanting.

I don't think this is a fair assessment of Cuthbertson's efforts this season. With the on field team lacking 3/4 of our big starting props for most of the season much of the hard middle work had to be taken on by Singleton and Cuthbertson. He has made so far the second most metres of our forwards and has made the 3rd most tackles of the whole squad and has the second best work rate per minute behind Dwyer.
Had we had our other big men available Cuthbertson would have been fresher and more effective

| Disagree. I think for the 'pack leader' he's supposed to be he's dire. He's a fair weather prop, happy to do the flashy stuff, but when you need someone to lead by example - make the hard run, get back in defence and actually hurt the opposition in the tackle - he's a dud. He was in the NRL and he is for Leeds. I fully expect him to look better if we have a full complement of half decent other props, but so does Mullally at 13. Are you genuinely suggesting that in any of the games he's played he's given the sort of obvious leadership by example of a Peacock?
We've got him for two years more, and I'm sure he'll do better with more around him, but so will everyone else.
