| given Briscoe has had the non passer/can't pass greedy fecker Yeaman inside of him for 5 years he should be in the 20 tries per season easily.
He scored 90 from 148 appearances for us and we have been the lowest try scoring team in the top 8 (when we've got there) for years..

| Hey,
I only think the thing about Hall and the 2nd row started because we bought Briscoe. If we did not have Briscoe I would be happy with RH on the wing, but now we have 3 wingers. Something has to give. Maybe the door for BJB, but I think he is good enough to keep his place.

Given the number of genuine try-scoring opportunities/passes he's likely to receive on the wing at Leeds that figure will need to be close on a 100% conversion rate.
Despite Leeds finishing two places higher on the league ladder in 2013 than they did in 2012 they scored 23 tries fewer and looking back to their SL high try point in 2005 it's 77 fewer from just the one less opportunity. Whether that's in part due to a leveling up or a dumbing down in quality terms (depending on your point of view) for me it's a lot of entertaining moments to lose.'"
3 down, only 22 to go, I told you he'd score a hatful for you

To be fair, any winger could have scored those three tries. They were simple run-in's, Watkins had done all the hard work, all Briscoe had to do was catch the pass and stroll over the line unopposed.

I was going to reply that Vickery would have scored those tries.

| First one still needed a bit of work. Good finish that.
Anyway, the guy never said he'd score a hatful of individual wonder tries did he?

First one was classic winger shows clean Pair of heels to opposite winger. Other two where stroll ins, but Briscoe worked hard throughout the game so deserved his hat trick.
With regards BJB there are bound to be injuries in the backs so he will get plenty of game time,

But that is exactly the point the Hull fan was making. he said "in our side" with a better centre than Yeaman playing alongside, he has predicted 25 tries for the lad.

Watkins did the hard work drawing the men, Briscoe had it on a plate. Just ran hard down the right. Did it with conviction. Was nice to see Delaney getting shot of the ball as soon as he laid hands on it!

I think the Hullensian visitor was probably thinking of the improved supply Briscoe would get from Watkins when he made his prediction. Yeaman is a finisher/not a winger's centre/spent force (one or all of the above). Watkins is top class in SL, and well capable of becoming world class in the near future. Every winger in the league would love to play outside him.

Exactly, we've been missing a decent true centre since the days of Richie Barnett (Rich whiting was good for us though), we've got young Crooks on the side you've now got TB on but he is still learning & well behind Watkins in any case.
Also Leeds have always been able to get the ball to the outside backs far far quicker than us & despite TVOc's stats saying you've scored a lot less tries of late than your best years, that's still a lot more than most in any case (you scored over 200 tries in SL X I think!)

We did score a chunk of tries less last year but a decent part of that was a lack of tries from the right side due to not having our first choice centre/wing partnership playing together until the 19th league game of the season.
In the first 18 games the starting right centre & wing scored just 16 tries.
We've already got 4 tries from the that side in one match, it took 11 league games to reach that total last year.

| When does BJB's contract run out? Do we really think he will stay?

| Bjb is OOC at the end of the year and if Hardaker ,Hall and Watkins extend their deals i doubt Bjb will stay its possible but i doubt it.

No not really, unless we get wind of a strong bid from an NRL/RU team for the likes of Watkins, Hardaker, Hall early on in the season and we make a strong play to keep him before he starts talking to other clubs.
My guess is that he'll start the 2015 season in a Salford kit. They've signed well in the halves and forwards but could do with more in the backs. Wire were linked last year but might have missed the boat on this one.
