You mean you paid that much a season for Ryan Baileys Bitch?
If your club is handing that much cash out for any single individual player in a salary cap era, then that is why you haven't won anything IMO, he was a good player when he was on the field but never warranted a salary of that magnitude IMO
Quote: brearley84 "plus eden was sold earlier in the season to hull kr.'"
Was a transfer fee involved for Eden's move to Hull KR?
I was told by his old amateur coach in Cas that Greg was actually released from the Giants without any money actually changing hands?
Quote: brearley84 "also insured for things like this
I wasn't aware that you could insure against incompetence?
Overall brealey84 your blase response here makes it all sound OK and that you believe that the Giants haven't lost out in any way, shape or form?
IMO the Giants have come out of this with a far worse public image than the one that the club perceived that Mason had lowered them to prior to the court case

| If Hudds have Directors and officers liability insurance then that will pay out in cases like this. Most companies have it. Even though the reports say that Huddersfield Giants were taken to court, essentially its the board that's taken to court.

| Wasn't Anderson trying to sign a halfback through the winter to enable moving Robinson to hooker?

No difference to a clause in a contract of a certain welsh half. You can put anything into a contract! It just means hudds get first dibs. All parties meed to be in agreement.

| I think Harris was a different deal to Eden. The clause with Eden is that Hudds have first refusal should another team chase his signature. They also have the right to bring him back after two years if he wants to go to them. I'd be interested in the first refusal as I'm sure it'd be a case of Hudds having to match any other teams offer if higher.
Harris however was different. He switched codes. If he had stayed in union for the rest of his playing career Leeds would have got jot. However he agreed to us holding his registration in RL and that it'd only be released for a fee should he return to the sport. This kind of deal can only work f the p,Ayer leave the sport, and to be honest at he time as said by many in both codes it was a vet shrewd move. I highly doubt that kind of clause would see the light of day again
