| Quote: KaeruJim "I just hope if we get beaten it’s not because we’ve fluffed it. It’s the stupid errors that annoy me; the stuff we can and should control.
We’ll need to expel the last game against them from our memory. I’m hoping Zane will galvanise them - he is one intense dude.
Newman did push out at Gildart and bust his lip a bit, but the Wiganers were being s cos they lost… if that gets a ban it’s ridiculous. The game needs its star players involved in the big games, there’s no risk of serious injury and it was just handbags between backs.
If they are bothered about preventing injuries stop three man tackles where they’re trying the break the ball carrier’s back or legs. Stop the knee slides. There were some toilet tackles from Wigan in that game, I’ll be writing a letter at this rate!'"
Thats a valids point on the potential of bans, once over, the perceived benefit of finishing higher up the table was the extra weeks rest...The way the games going, the benefits going to be the other team will have multiple players banned from the extra game. I know we'v got to look after the players, but some of the things penaltys and bans have been given for this season are pathetic imo.

| Quote: The Yellow Giraffe "Cheers will have a look. Just watched the Oledzki one again. No conclusive proof there of any shoulder to head contact.
I must be missing something. Right at the end Briscoe is pushing and shoving someone and Martin gets involved but Newman is nowhere near.'"
It was Newman who jumped in to protect Briscoe and he caught Gildart in the face.
Nothing in it for me same as Oledzki.
If Gale is fit I would go:
Myler
Luke B, Hurrell, Newman, Handley
Lui, Gale
Tetavano, Leeming, Prior
Martin, Mellor
Smith.
Dwyer, Holroyd, Oledzki, Donaldson
But think Agar will start Tet at 13.

| Given the way the disciplinary has gone this year they may ban Tetevano for 2 games for Albert Vete's tackles against Warrington!!

| cant see past saints winning the title. would rather have faced Catalan who I dont rate that highly. had an easy run fixtures wise, very few midweek games. very bearable. imagine a Leeds v rovers final though. lovely...

| I’m pretty relaxed this year, we have nothing to lose. It’s almost worst when you finish top/high and then the whole season can disappear down the plug hole on one loss.

| In many ways its been a season from hell. No half backs all year, players filling in everywhere, around 10 players out most weeks but we are 80 minutes from the Grand Final and if we make it i think we will win it actually. Pretty remarkable.
Saints battered us a few week ago but they will be facing a different pack this time. We need big minutes from Mikolaj Fri. We need more from Prior and Zane than weve had recently too.
That said Saints are the best in the competition and on their day beat anyone comfortably. Outstanding club and team.
Weve a team that will give its all and has nothing to lose. Weve done ok with all the adversity and craziness weve had this year. We are up against it but its not impossible. Either way we will be better next year.
Cant wait for Friday.

| Completely gutted that KR won. Not that Warrington are out or that we are playing Saints but that we are now playing on the Friday, I'll miss the game as have work commitment on Friday night and have Thursday clear

Totally agree, ask a Warrington or Wigan fan who’s had a better season us or them!
Im far more happy with our season and more importantly how the squad is shaping up for next than either of those.
Will be interesting to see how Powell goes at Warrington though

Exact opposite for me Thursday is mine and my wifes anniversary so would have had to try and either wait to rewatch the game or try explaining that I have to watch the game live

| It’s an interesting one, Powell seems to be a coach that can gets the best out of limited resources both on and off the field, the Warrington job is the exact opposite of that, he will have a star studded squad and some of the best off field stuff in the league, expectations will be very high.
Unfortunately for him what he has shown is that in the big games his teams have been found wanting, he needs to shake that off at Warrington.

Dont think hes ever really had a team capable or expecting to win things even 2017 was out of the blue really. The fact he got Cas to compete for silverware was an achievement. When at Leeds we had a young team and he got us close. Lets see how Cas go without him.
I think hes a great appointment for Wire, he had been at Cas a long time and probably things went stale. Hes a good coach tho.

can't fault the effort most of the year ad some defeats go down to the crazy schedule . sts and cats a clear top two but into any given sunday territory
