45465_1384791340.jpg And last but not least, to all those people who wrote this team off.
To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Quote: Jonesy's a Legend "poor performance today by the rhinos, but lets not get too disheartened just yet as its a long season and we are still sat in pole position and have only wigan to play both away and at the magic weekend plus a tricky game at home against the saints
we have plenty of winnable home games left to gain the points required for a healthy top 4 finish leading into the super 8 play offs and hopefully will be out of reach of most of the clubs in the top 8'"
What will worry fans is that Wigan and Leeds are heading in the opposite direction. They are timing their form perfectly for the business end of the season. I fear for us playing against them at the moment. Widnes are a tough proposition at home and it is no discrace losing to Warrington, but our form has been poor since our good Easter period. Mac needs to give our guys a wake-up call.

He has been gash at conversion kicking so far this season. Please Mr Hetherington acquire a quality kicking coach to try to turn a pigs ear into a silk purse before it costs us in the matches that really matter.

And in both games, because they out-muscled us physically and that was the cue for certain players to go into hiding. Same as the first 20 minutes of the second half at Saints, and the second half of both games against Huddersfield.
As soon as it starts to get tasty, we lose our composure and discipline and get more interested in chelping at referees.

| Don't why we are so shocked, it's a McDermott team speciality to have a complete regular season capitulation. it's happened for a few seasons now.
But in our defence our game vs Saints flattered to deceive as we are both depleted due to Injury's and as soon as we play full strength teams we are found wanting. We desperately need Hall and Briscoe back

| Quote: ThePrinter "Was tempted earlier to point out that the poor form started just a few days after the draw was made for the CC with us facing a tough opposition, the focus levels seem to have gone out the window.
Wigan have closed the gap and Magic weekend is a big game. However since we beat them at home they've played 6 of their 8 games at home and won them all, and of their two away games one was against Wakey who are dreadful. Apart from that they've failed to win any matches away from the DW this season (and the last few of 2014). Four of their next 6 games are away from home and tough ones too (Catalans, Hudds, Saints, Wire) so they still have to address their away form.
On the other side it's worth remember how much we've played away this season. 9 games compared to 5 home games (3 of which were some of the tougher opposition Wigan, Hudds and Wire). Until the last few weeks we'd gained 12 points from a possible 14 on the road which was miles better than any of us wouldve expected at the beginning of the year. We now have 9 games left until the split. 6 at home, 1 Magic game, and only two away (one of those being the very poor Wakefield).
So we've had to do it quiet tough with the fixture list but it does look to be swinging back more in our favour from now until the split.'"
Yes just seen that recently and we do seem to have a better run in than most at home.
The only trouble with that is our home is no longer a fortress and we can still be beat at home unfortunately.
Having said all that I would have taken this position at the start of the season of course as I thought we would struggle to make the top 4.

Stats from the game. Singleton, and Cuthbertson need resting IMO, both are looking shot at the moment.
Separately, I think Walters should get a run of games because Ablett's form this season has been very disappointing.

| 33 missed tackles and 14 errors isn't going to win you many games, irrespective of the opposition.

| How many minutes did Singleton get, or did he get an injury? Stats very light for a starting prop, though keep saying he's more effective off the bench.

| Singleton went off after about 20 minutes of the first half and didn't come back. Monster stats from JP & Delaney as per.

| Just seen the highlights of your game. That advantage allowed by Bentham was nearly as good as Mellor's step on Hardaker.
The try by Chris Dean was massively questionable whether he grounded it though.
The last Widnes try was ridiculous.

If you're not in McDermott's senior inner-circle, he doesn't trust you and won't play you unless he really has to.
Just ask Mulhern and Yates.
