| So if all proceeds are going to Charity does this make a purchase qualify as gift aid and therefore allowable against my occasional income tax laibility
or will this fall to Leeds Rhinos to offset against their Corporation tax liabilty

I used it on a JustGiving page last year and the 25% sticks in my mind for some reason but I think JustGiving make a levy of their own too so 28% may be the top line. |

Reasons why it may not be Phil Daly? Well someone could have set up an alias a couple of years ago to laugh at DISA. I never said it wasn't Phil. I was merely suggesting that the statement wasn't necessarily 100% true, and may have been fairly hastily made to cover some mistakes made at the club.
Don't get me wrong the final actions by the club were good, but its been a pretty muddled journey to get there. I guess I find it hard to accept that when the club organises a major charity event including special shirts the thoughts of what to do with them after the event won't have cropped up |

That I do agree with although I think that this is the first occasion that the club has used a one-off shirt for charitable purposes & so hadn't completely thought through all the ramifications.
We're all perfect with hindsight. |

By that you mean whoever listed the shirts on ebay didn't/forgot to put the nominated charity and the % going to them, that's it.
IMO some people are getting their nickers in a twist over nowt. |
