Agree with a lot of the above, maybe another growing year but we are in with a much better shout.
For me it all comes down to injuries, we have a very strong team and bench when everybody is fit, very similar to Saints and Catalans. The problem we have had is injuries and lots of injuries in one position. If we can keep our main players fit and not chop and change each week we will be close. I think Catalans and Saints have done very well with injuries and keeping players fresh and they are at the top.

Be interesting to see how we look in the early weeks, hopefully fitter and a bit more robust. If we get that right then we have the players to be dangerous.

We were really good at time last year, but still too inconsistent (of course impacted heavily with injuries and COVID again too I think).

If we aren't 10% better across the board this year I'd be disappointed. Full pre-season with pretty much everyone fit, coaching staff able to work on combination properly, new conditioning regime and key positions filled with quality - plus another pre-season into our younger players which they would have to benefit from.

Of course some of the competition will be benefitting in the same ways, and I do think the comp standard will increase a bit this season because more sides look stronger to me. I just think we were particularly badly effected going into 2021 with what happened at the end of 2020, and we have a particularly young team who need time.

I agree Jimbo. It seems to have been a long pre-season and ive never known Leeds have so many players training for the full length of it.

Be interesting to see how that benefits us. A full off season into the young lads should really see them improve physically.

Im pleased we had the sense to give them time off over the New Year too.

Yeah the main thing holding us back now is the physical conditioning, there's no way players at 18-22 will be at peak and the Goldens weren't either at that age.

At this level a 10% improvement is significant so let's see how we go. I think we all see the club improving. The spirit has been looking good, I just want to see us putting in more dominant performances where we should be, and being difficult to beat every game. Not too long now!

If anything is to by from today, won’t be surprised if Turner is moved into the first team and given 33.

Martin taupau officially available for 2023 onwards. Wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he’s at Leeds.

Plenty Leeds players off contract end of 2022. For us to sign someone of Taupau quality we would have to lose several of our off contract players.We have some very good youngsters coming through so it could be a case of three seniors out to bring one Marquee player in. Taupau certainly fits that bill.

He'll be 33 by then. not for me personally at that age considering how much he'd cost.

Austin, Thompson & Martin out of contract on the overseas side so quota would be available.

I can see the appeal in Tapau, but do we really want to throw big money at a 32 year old prop? Would certainly want to keep Austin if he is a success. Will be interesting to see if there is any interest from the club but if it was me I would think twice and possibly go for a less high profile option.
