Are they letting Jai Arrow go?

Good for him. Super talent i wondered how he was getting on in Union. Always liked Iwan.

| Kear has some interesting things to say here -
I just think it’s putting other people in the group at unnecessary risk of losing one of your commodities, which is your players, when you’re paying them to supposedly play.
Having listened to Jurgen Klopp, I have thought about this a great deal because I do feel we’re responsible employers at Bradford Bulls.
But we’ve also got a responsibility to look after the people who are toeing the line and are being fully vaccinated – we need to look after them and their families.
Obviously if it spreads between work colleagues, the work colleague goes back home and there is a possibility of the virus then spreading within families.
Therefore we’ve got a responsibility as employers, but I think society has got a responsibility as well.
It is very important for clubs to have as many players as possible who have had the full quota of jabs so that we aren’t missing vital time in pre-season or have players unavailable for games.'"

Yeah quite…..
Think John Kear should stick to coaching RL personally. Reading that article made me feel bit nauseated too…..!

Wakey follow Bradford in stating the obvious: vax status will be a big issue for signing or renewing players. This will apply to all clubs in the end, it's just inevitable you'll pay less for people who probably won't play as much.

Yah it’s true. Clubs have a right to sign who they want. They could even stipulate a player must stay up to date with boosters, for length of contract. Any existing contracts will need to be honoured though….

| From Agar on Leeds Live today.
"We gave a trial to someone last year in our Academy, but he'd be too old for that now," Agar said.
"But we'd love to get him back in now and have another look at him. He'll be a year older and he'll have the perfect platform to shine in reserve grade''
Anyone know who this is?

Most likely Obi Ene, he was woeful, Couldnt help but feel sorry for the lad, just didnt know the rules and didnt know how to play the ball. He did look a big powerful athlete though and played a decent standard of union for Yorkshire ru u18 against all the top flight Union academys like Leicester and so on. The other lads we had 'guest' for us are contracted to york and already in Rugby League so dont think he will be referring to them.
Couldnt agree more with Agar on the subject, im delighted he's confirmed we'l be looking far and wide for lads with the athletic profile to give trials to in the reserves.

Yes he was a big athletic lad but looked confused on the basics. Having said that, if he can tackle then it doesn't take rocket science to play to ball - and would be interesting to see him get some more chances.
We don't look short of options in most positions now but it's always good to keep farming more talent.

| Lets be honest we are doing this "trial" thing to fill a team with unpaid players to save money.
The reserve structure is a waste of time if its not going to be taken seriously.
We had a Welsh lad from Doncaster RU who played 1 reserve game and scored 2 tries. Maybe hes the guy Agar is referring to but that wasnt the academy so who knows.
