| Quote: Bull Mania "Fair enough. But centres are a problem for us, they aren't any about. No SL side can attract top draw overseas players. Purtell is 26, Lulia is 24 so both are here in their prime and particulary Lulia, looks better than a lot of centres currently playing over here. We don't really have any centres coming through at the minute. But i think Lulia could surprise a few people.'"
Is this Purtell fella the worst ever Penrith player according to their fans?

Thank God we're not asking you then.
Anybody that thinks that is a winning pack and especially champions Kirke cannot be taken seriously I'm afraid.
Presumably no mention of Delaney in the pack means you still see him as a quality centre....like I said, you cannot be taken seriously. Keep the faith eh ?

IIRC you stated something along the lines of: 'great aggression and difficult to stop. I haven't seen that kind of form from him for years.'
So the rationale behind his potential signing could rest on a rare impressive performance?

| No thanks, if Griffin is coming then we have him, Peacock, Leuluai, plus i'd like to see Ambler and Amor given a chance after both playing full season's in SL and racking up good stats. Then there's Bailey, i'd release Bailey TBH as he is injured quite alot and only started playing well recently as he'll want a new contract.
Also give Singleton a few games to bring him through. If we aren't giving Ambler and Amor the chance they deserve then sign a top quality Aussie or Kiwi prop.

| im reliably informed that moore signed for us after the wakefield game last week and even before the crusaders fiasco he was looking for a club closer to home because he has a poorly son and has also split up with the missus !

| sport is a business and in business do we need compassion
if we have signed him i hope it is not just to show compassion and he can do a job
if he was any good then why was he at crusaders ( i know hwe wanted a longer contract that they offered but.... other teams would have matched it)

Depressing innit....maybe Bailey on his way out ?
For sure if this results in Ambler and/or Amor packing their backs to another club it hardly smacks of a good long term move for Leeds' future.

| Can we really expect prop forward signings to be NRL superstars?
Moore's always been a handful in poor sides when I've seen him play over the last season or so. I'm not sure if he's capable of stepping up a level but on the right kind of deal (i.e. relatively cheap - compared to say Cross or Biff) he could be a decent squad member and worth a punt on.
Maybe we should at least wait and see:
(a) if we actually sign him;
(b) what our 2012 squad is; and
(c) how he goes
before we slit our wrists?

Well statistics are a good way of measurinjg penalties and errors which are less qualatative than drives and tackles where statistics alone don't always tell the whole story.
Of course, there not as good an indicator as a 50 minute spell a player had in one game over a several year career.

Didn't some on here say something similar about one certain Mr Cross ?
I could understand these sentiments more if we didn't already have another so called "squad member" that ALWAYS makes the 17 regardless.
It's puzzling to try ascertaining what exactly Moore could offer over the likes of Ambler and Amor.....cue the Cross 2010 retorts I guess.

Another agenda? How do you work thar one out? So statistics tell you that a player had a pass up at his head or down at his toes, resulting in an error? Statistics tell you that officials missed a reefed ball and gave a knoock on? Statistics also tell you that with a penalty is a penalty rather than a refs interpretation over another? You say yourself like me that Bailey gets penalised foe things others don't.
I'm like everyone else on this, underwhelmed. But lets not scrape the bottom of the barrell with using debatable statistics to back up agendas.
