Didnt Bluey say something about player power when he resigned or am I imagining that?
In public they all praise Brian but in private I will wager its a different matter'"
Remind me again which team was it yesterday that was down to 12 men for the majority of the game....and which team was then comfortably able to create overlaps ???
I've stated similar to the above speculation before: the dressing room shots we have seen certainly do not point to a coach in command of his troops. He always appears to be incidental to what's going on around him.

Arrrrgghhh! Too late. The damage is already done. (Perhaps this means the signing of Wolfman Williams after all ...thus securing more season tickets from the easily pleased majority numpties)
I tend to agree with Brisbane in that I seriously hope Leeds get dumped out of the play-offs by Wakefield. Even if Leeds make it to another final it will simply mean another subsequent season of pitiful performances, with the same pitiful coaching staff. It might still be the case, of course, but we can certainly guarantee it if Leeds make another GF.
The SL play-offs are simply a joke I'm afraid if Leeds do actually succeed again.

| Last season's success was a fantastic acheivement, but as discussed this morning with another poster, the gods were somewhat generous to us. We started with a ver winnable game at home against Hull FC, and then an away game against a woeful Giants team. Then the real business started, but we had a bit of a head of steam up by then.
This year we face an in form Wildcats team on a 7 game winning run, and then a trip to either Catalans or Wigan, both of which are infinitely harder than the week 2 game from last year.
I can see us losing the Wakey game, but we probably won't, and then going out in France as we have never won there under this coaching set up, and they probably won't get past Wigan at the first attempt.
Maybe if the teams in positions 1 & 2 after the regular rounds get to Old Trafford, it would put some integrity back into the full season rather than just the playoffs?

You could possibly argue that Saints may well have learned something from the last half decade. Afterall they have comfortably (in all honesty) finished 3rd. Produced some very good performances, along with some scratchy. Rotated their team around to keep players fresh. And now for once have a go at getting from Old Trafford from 3rd instead of where they usually are.

You know that the number the player is holding is nothing to do with the shirt number of the player being substituted right?

Oh I don't disappear, I just don't feel the need to comment on mediocrity. I do have better things to do most weekends though, with the family.
If the standard of the rugby was better, and the team played to it's potential a bit more, then maybe I'd watch every week instead of picking and choosing when I don't have something better on. Frankly I prefer watching my sons play these days.

Couldnt see from where we were sat but did see Chris Plume indicate to Ablett to come off when they were lined up waiting for Brough to convert a try he just shuck his head and refused. Disgraceful attitude from whoever the coach wanted to sub we only had to subs after losing Kirke and Delaney and the fact one of them couldnt get on the pitch because the player being rotated is just wrong Im not saying Hood would have changed the outcome of the game but if the coach wanted him on the pitch he should have been. To me that proved hes just a figure head and not in control of anything

| It has been said on here quite a few times over the last few seasons "lets enjoy these times while we can,it wont last forever".It was us and Saints and Bulls,Saints have stayed in touch with the top Bulls sunk,we are touch and go.It will be interesting to see if Wire and wigan have a similar period of domination like Leeds Saints and Bulls.

The number is in relation to number of interchanges taken place, Kirke would of been holding up number 1 when he came on for Leuluai near the beginning of the match as the first subsitution to of taken place.
I remember seeing Ablett just before Hudds scored either their 5th or 6th try with his shoulder hanging down a bit after a tackle and really should of come off whether he was asked or not.

In which case, it makes more sense to think Ablett was being asked if he was injured and needed to come off, and saying "no" than it does to think he was being told to come off and refused.

It does and IF he did refuse then it's not just disrespectful to his coach as people have already pointed out on here but disrespectful to his teammate, in this case, Liam Hood. Hardly going to create a good team morale if Hood, as a young player, is thinking that guy denied him a chance to prove himself at first team level.
