Lets be honest nothing goes on in St Helens apart from the rugby. Flogging St Helens to someone who doesn’t like rugby league is like flogging Featherstone to potential investors - your selling a dead horse. Hopefully now some people on the Leeds board will begin to understand where all the panic on the saints board is coming from.
A no table topping, challenge cup winning and super league winning rugby league club in the town would totally devastate the area. A Majority of the glory hunting St Helens fans are from around the red rose county and will just end up at either Wigan and Warrington to watch good rugby of which will bring the towns economy to ruins.
I really can’t see a super league St Helens club in 2020 I’m sorry to say.

Didn't Bob Nudd win the Sport's Personality one year before the fixers got to work?
Sky tried something similar once and Wigan RL nearly swept the board in Tuigamala's days. You don't see Wigan fans coming on here banging on about it though. |
