That's what Huddersfield lack. Three weeks in a row we were clinging on by our fingernails in games and by sheer will to win or stubbornness as Peacock describes it as, we found a way to win.

If Hudds took that battering in the first 20 mins of the 2nd half of the GF, would they find a way to battle back like we did and win it? If Hudds fans were being honest even they'd have to say probably not. In fact they'd probably crumbled and concede another 3/4 tries.

That's just the way it is that Hudds fans need to accept instead of blaming the ref or RFL for their shortcomings.

Teams like Huddersfield lack toughness. They aren't survivors. If there was a zombie apocalypse they'd be the first to die. Sure when the going's good brough is buzzing round like a little knat and everything's fine and dandy. As soon as there's a bit of pressure like a big occasion, or some adversity in the game they collapse. The semi against wigan was shameful. It might as well have been a bye for wigan and it meant the old war horse peacock's last game was alot more taxing than it should have been because wigan were so fresh. Leeds should have had an easier time of clinching the TREBLE, but no huddersfield had to bend over.

It takes time and some special people on and off the field to develop that winners mind set. We had to do it in the long build up to our first GF win and with the right people and circumstance Hudds and Wire could follow that path. We don't have a divine right to be successful. It comes through long term planning and hard work. The next couple of years will see how deeply ingrained that ethos is, I reckon we'll do alright.

I don`t like blaming officials for results, but in close games they certainly make some faux-pas`s.
But having a go at me for bringing it up is a bit rich, as when Leeds have lost there are plenty on here having a go at your favourite refs for bad calls.

Pity they didn't invite wire or cas to compete in the play offs instead of you too.
