| We'll have to see, they've done it before, so you never know with them.

The key question is whether they'd be allowed to do it this time. What happened at Hull was entirely within the rules set out for announcing squads, I'm not sure its possible this time (I'm not sure it isn't either, of course).

Your first post,
You are Jamie Thackray and i claim my £5
Something serious must have happened for him not to be included in the 18 it's a shambles how Ryan Bailey & Ian Kirke are in instead of Thackray.

And, just for arguments sake, if something serious has happened would it still be a shambles?

If my understanding is correct they will have to produce medical evidence of the injuries in order to replace them in the squad, so I think they'll struggle to put them back in again.'" 'Both the scrum-half and forward failed fitness tests at training after this time and therefore have been withdrawn.
[iThe Club Doctor will provide evidence of their injuries to the RFL[/i.'
There is still room to draft any of them back into the squad before Friday. I wouldn't be suprised if one or both of them play tomorrow night. Maybe a DA tactic? My bet is that Longy will be declared fit.
tbh i can see them both playing. rumour is that gilmore hasn't trained all week, so wouldn't be surprised to him out the 18 come 2morrow

Put the best 17 in the squad unless it's something really serious............which if it was so bad we'd already know through the grapevine.
Thackray is definately in the best 17 at the club and thus should be in the squad.
I'm afraid it looks like Mr Chino's is taking a final stand before going to coach GB which is only making the Leeds squad weaker.

Will you still be saying this if it proves to be right? Maybe Smith just feels Kirke or Ablett is safer in terms of control and temprement in such a ig pressure game as this.
Not saying its right, just playing devils advocate

| Leeds lose Everybody complains we missed Jamie Thackray.
Leeds win Everybody well not everybody praises the team and forgets about Jamie Thackray missing out on selection.
Catch 22 situation really where Tony Smith earns his corn.

| It won't be mindgames.
Faasavalu will be a big miss, but Smith for Long is OK as far as I'm concerned. Long has been poor many many more times than he has been good this year, and Matty will give us the kicking game that would have led us to a win at the JJB last week.
Smith at 7, I still think we'll nick it. If DA goes with Wilkin at 7, we're screwed as we need a better kicker in general play.

Fas has been excellent most of the year, I'm not going to write him off as a liability after (admittedly average) performances against Leeds.
Our biggest strength is that of our bench, and Fas is a big factor in that.
