| Best one of the weekend:
"Ade Gardners kick returns really are fantastic".
At that point I switched it off and fed the rabbit.

| The great thing about Leeds' signings in recent years is that, whilst there are a few that can be singled out as huge successes (Senior, Harris, Peacock) There are also loads of "lesser signings" that have really paid off - Leuluai, Donald, Lauititi, Ellis, Bai (despite the CC Final blunder), Webb, Furner to name just a few. Kirke has also not let anyone down, and I still think Toopi did a good job for us, when fit and playing with confidence. The really great thing is that it' a lot harder to think of signings over the past few years that haven't worked out - since the year of Mullins & Clyde we've hardly made any duff signings. The only one that really springs to mind is Mark O'Neill, and we'll never know if he'd have ben any good if he'd not have got injured. So, whilst the usual suspects can definitely lay a claim to "best signing", there are many others that warrant a mention too. I personally think that lauititi has been one of our best signings, as, when fit there's no one else in super league who can make the plays he can, as he showed on Friday night.

Shane Millard is the only other signing of recent times that didn't seem to be much kop IMO and some of the 'lesser' signings you name are international standard players that have been real successes for Leeds

| Yes, I wouldn't call Ellis a lesser signing.

| Apologies re the ambiguity of the word "lesser". I wouldn't class Ellis as a lesser signing either, but as the only signings mentioned in the "best ever" category were Senior, Harris & Peacock, I was referring to the likes of Ellis and all the other internationals as being lesser signings than those mentioned previously. All depends on the interpretation of the word lesser - it may be acceptable to say that Ellis, overall, has been a lesser signing than either of Harris, Peacock and Senior, but that doesn't in any way suggest he was anything other than a great signing.

46993.gif The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves,
"You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.:46993.gif |

| If we were lucky enough to win a third Grand Final on the trot I don't know what I would derive more joy from. The thought of all those Saints players shrivelling and squirming with jealous rage....OR....the thought of Phil Clark throwing a hissy fit and resigning from Sky Sports because 'IT NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT COMPLEMENTING LEEDS IN MY XXXXING CONTRACT!'. How good would it be, when being goaded by workmates, wind up merchants and opposition fans to look them in the eye and simply answer...3
