They've just had a week off they get next week off aswell for the CC final they'll need some gametime!

id expect with the few games and the opposition we would be on a down month this month ready for the big games next month and the month after,

i cant see a game against celtics reserves 2 weeks before we play saints will get us all that battle hardened, certainly not a huge amount more than a heavy contact session in training,

resting them this week gives us a 2 week mini pre-season before the Saints then the playoffs

especially considering the shifts peacock especially has put in this year

The lads have finally got cracking. They need to keep the momentum and build on the Cas performance. To have 2 weeks off in a row would be a killer. Maybe rest Peacock but thats about it imo.

I think this will most probably be the death of Celtic and it is possibly that they will not be in SL next season!

All points will stand, they will not throw Celtic out now and they will play out the season. To do anything else would be stupid and probably illegal. There is nothing directly in the operation rules of the RFL about the exact punishment for clubs who field ineligible players. The operational rules do state that unless you have a valid work/residents permit, you can not be registered as a player with the RFL, so that is clear. As another poster has stated it looks like that when they were originally registered their permits were valid but I am still a little puzzled as to why the RFL did not twig that with the rule change they might not now be here legally, but once again the operational rules just talk about having valid paperwork for them to first register as players at an RFL club, so I am sure that it what they will say.

If the UKBA find that Celtic have acted illegally I don't think the RFL has any choice but to throw them out of SL. You can not have a club knowingly breaking immigration law. Of course currently Celtic are innocent and if they are found to be so by the UKBA and the courts then they should be allowed to stay in SL.
