Warrington want to keep him fresh...
Seriously i think he had a Dead Leg towards the end of the Wakefield match hence why he was replaced towards the end and he failed a fitness test...

My birthday that game. It's all going to plan so far if both teams can keep a winning streak up from here on in

| Huge games next week.
If Leeds can get a win at Wigan we can really kick on. Saints are away to Harlequins! Tough game, very tough. Big chance to go top.

I disagree. Korkidas had his hand on the ball, and pulled it out.
Wakeys third score should never have been given. The elbow to Wellens' face should have seen it not given.
Saints really do need to find someone who can kick a goal.

| The ball was cleary reefed out. Dumb play from Wakey - one of several similarly dumb actions in the last 5 minutes. John Kear must have been pulling his hair out.*
*Pubes and underarm presumably.

| Let's not get beyond ourselves here folks, the real prize comes right at the end of the season.
The bottom line is, I'd much rather have the Scousers win the hubcap again, only for them to then take a fall (either in the play-offs or the Grand Final, I'm not bothered which).
The only accepable option with regards to the hubcap, is for us to finish top of the league AND then win the Grand Final too.

Correct call from Alibert.

Having Steve Ganson involved probably cost St Helens that decision. I thought Demetriou got his bumper up to hand off legitimately but it ended up being more of a forearm than hand. Grix's put down could have been more convincing as well but it was good enough.

Saints are really missing Paul Anderson.
They have but they were injured, even Lomax who presumably would have taken over. Funny how Hemmings kept saying none from five for Wellens when it was obviously none from six in the end. Wakefield deserved the result just for being there after last Friday.

| I wonder if Mr Cunningham will get a call to attend the Disciplinary Committee after his punch felled Stosic at the play the ball prior to the one that led to Saints final try?
Re the Demetriou incident I thought he started off to hand off Wellens with the palm of his hand but the momentum (that word again) of both players towards each other meant that JD's elbow finished up in Wellen's throat.
Hard one to call but I'm pleased it went the way it did.

I think Demetriou just went for the hand-off, it was not with any intent or malice and I think the reply made it look worse than it was as well. Correct call by Ganson, this is Rugby not netball. I think Wellens was crying like a little girl about it to Uncle Albert more because Demetriou owned him in that play!
Of course I am rather concerned that Ganson just took it upon himself to look and Uncle Albert did not ask him to look! I thought he could not do that and Sky did confirm that Uncle Albert did not ask him to look? We need some clarification from Cummins here.
Also, Uncle Albert was just rubbish, missing at least two blatant offside... I think he is getting worse not better!

'"
It was the same last week (only opposite) when Silverwood didn't look for a knock on (that didn't happen anyway) at the play the ball for Atkins try....
So why did Ganson go back last night.... surely it wasn't because Wellens went crying to Alibert about it?
Either way I think the video referee is and should be able to look at everything from the start of the play (be it a tap restart, scrum or PTB) that leads to the try - no try decision.
