We’re so poor in the air defensively, someone like Nat Phillips would be welcome
Piroe would have scored 4
Rutter is still a long long way off. He’s very erratic and lacks a goal scorer’s intelligence
Gray very good again as was Ampadu.
Geldhart looks short of quality

We need a 10, final ball was poor too many times


Gyabi and Drameh must be gash if they couldn’t contribute tonight. The rest we know (LB RB CM well short)

Played some decent stuff but still should have beat Salford tonight considering the chances we created.
I was saying all night I don`t see a decent attacker in Rutter and his penalty miss was embarrassing for a 36 million pound player.
He likes to dance in the area and do the fancy stuff but cannot finish.

Yep agree mate. Rutter looks like a bit of a show pony at times. Lacks urgency and fire in his belly. Always played the easy option instead of trying to be a threat himself. He was good on Saturday so I will let him off tonight but i expected him to kick on after that performance which is a concern.

Let’s hope Piroe stays fit !

I was hoping that after his goal at the weekend that would be the spark but seems like he really needs an arm round him and nursing back to confidence. £35m has put a LOT of pressure on him and at the moment its dragging him under.
