| And even though Bamford said he didn`t want to play for us if we got relegated back end of last season.
He`s still here with no apparent bids for him either.

| Yes very good tonight.
First half I thought Byrom, Shackleton and Sinisterra were good with Ampadu a class above anyone on the pitch.
Second half Cresswell, Gyabi, Gray and Poveda standouts.
Bamford took his goal well.
Agree about Joffy who puts a lot of effort in but no quality.
Shame Wober didn`t stay and we need to keep Adams.
All in all very organised and a good performance.
Ayling and Cooper not up to it.

Personally thought Ayling and Cooper made a couple of mistakes but no disasters.
Yes how stupid is Bamford doing that?
He needs to get the Leeds fans onside not act like he`s been hard done to considering how crap he was last season.

| Considering he received death threats from some Leeds fans, I'd say it was the other way round.

Maybe he didn`t deserve death threats but he certainly deserved the criticism for continuously playing poor and missing scoring opportunities that a half decent striker should be putting away.

| Phil Hay has confirmed Tyler Adams has a release clause of around 20m to 25m. I wouldn't be surprised if Brighton go for him when they get 100m from Chelsea for Caisado.

100 million for Caicedo is way over the top.
Good player but not worth that imo.

It isn't lower than what we paid. It's about the same.

| Any involvement Orta had a hand in along with our CEO and Chairman at the time stitched us up good and proper.
So far 117 million paid for players and 3 million brought in for the sale of Rodrigo.

| To be fair, they also had 50% to 60% relegation wage decreases in their contracts. So they probably had to put a loan/transfer clause in the player's favour as a compromise.
They've probably saved at least 60m off the wage bill even before the loans. Also, following the relegation, the chances of us recouping any money on some of these players is likely at their lowest, so loaning them gets their wages off the books, and also gives them chance to build up their values again.

| The club cannot afford to sell these players below what they paid for them and that is likely what would happen. £120m is a more realistic £80m. Getting the players off the payroll is a god send to the club. Of all the players that have gone which ones would you like to keep?

Fully agree and would like to hold on to Sinisterra, Adams and Gnonto.
But if we could get 20 million for Gnonto I wouldn`t grumble.
We still need to offload Firpo which is easier said than done.
Another who escapes any criticism is Kinnear who surely must have had a hand in transfers at some point.

We should be getting more than 20mill for Gnonto, he’s a full international under contract with no release clause and I imagine his wages won’t be that high

I agree he is certainly worth more and would say around 30 million
But if he wants out it`s better to cash in if we can.
Adams as I understand it has a release cause of 20 million and again I think he is worth nearer to 30 mill.
