Marvin Golden for right centre? ![]()
Funnily enough I was thinking of 'Marvellous' Marvin when reading the thread on Kallum Watkins as Golden looked good in the reseverves/academy, was promoted to the first team, made lots of mistakes, lost confidence and his career as a top flight player was over. Leroy Rivett was perhaps another. I was hoping history doesn't repeat itself with Watkins.

I wouldn't agree there. Golden's solid, I can't remember him being an error ridden player at all. Solid at centre or second row. He was very work man like and never gave up. He wasn't judged to have that extra quality to his game though. Just didn't quite make the grade, not for his want of trying or for his mistakes. |

Actually I think the difference is in that we aren't fighting enough to get a quick PTB rather than Quins being better defensively.
In the end the forwards arent running the ball in hard enough or quick enough at the moment and so very rarely make a dent in the line for the likes of Webb, Burrow etc to take advantage of. And we aren't working enough to get a quick PTB. |

As with Salford, Quins were enthusiastic, they played simple rugby league and didn't make too many errors.
In contrast, Leeds:
Had no kicking game (or game plan at all for that matter).
Didn't offload.
Didn't back up.
Didn't defend well.
Played dull, ineffective one man rugby.
Seemed like they couldn't be ar5ed.
Looked absolutely knackered.
