Its not all bad.this season walker, Oledzki and Smith have all emerged as first team regulars. By all accounts we have some other good juniors with potential being close to ready. Our problems lie at the other end of the scale and the fact we have too many past their past and long in the tooth, even if they can still 'do a job' many of them are spending too long injured in recent times. No getting away from the fact we need up to half a dozen new faces bringing in over the next year or two to complement the lads pushing through.i agree it feels a bit like back to early 2000's and start afresh again. interesting times ahead.

I agree, this season will actually do thise three the world of good, but I don’t think a middle 8s campaign would, we need to get ourselves safe from that then I think the proper changing of the guard can happen, if we can win on Friday i think we’ll win the remaining fixtures, it is indeed a must win game

It seems likely that Sinfield coming back was always planned, but it has been brought forward. That's meant finding a new coach sharpish, which is where Lowes has come from. I'd be stunned if Lowes was part of GH's plan for 2019 and beyond.

Didn't Powell lose his first 6 games in charge of Cas? If the mentality is equally brittle it could take until next season to resolve.

You wont go down, you are too good for that. Heck knows whats has gone on this season, but you are not a lower division side.

Think we will win last 3 which will see us home, then built momentum to challeng cup semi and hopefully final.

Sinny was a great leader on the field but it does not follow that he will be a great one off the field. He comes over in interviews as a bit boring and uses too many cliches. I really hope he makes it but it is a gamble as he has no coaching/management experience and it is an unforgiving job.

The club need to sign some class players one of which should be a game manager.

Got to disagree with you regarding Sinfields interviews, I thought they would be boring but he is actually refreshingly honest in them and he clearly knows that there’s something not right at the club, now whether he can turn it around time will tell but I can tell he is disappointed at the attitude on the field and I don’t think he’ll baulk at being ruthless with the playing roster.

Lowes was the reason our defence used to be so good. But it took him time, unfortunately that’s not a luxury he has now.
We need a half who can control while Myler organises, 2 props who can roatate with Garbutt & Singleton (Oledski is still a year off, but will be one), a Ali type back rower and a Centre.
