They did plenty the scoreline didn't reflect how much D they had to do especially in the first half.
At one point the Gisnts had 4 repeat sets in our 20m & had size & plenty of movement but our lads held firm. |

A really good game that finished 24 all. I didn't get a team sheet but the Leeds second row with the scrum cap had a top game for Leeds.

Don't know if it is who you are on about. But Henry Mitchell is normally second row, and wears a scrum cap. A really good player. Was he tall and slim?

Think both teams was massively depleted due to England v France u16s game which is a shame given they are the best 2 teams.
Leeds was without Holroyd Broadbent Martin Johnson and Scrimshaw. Wigan likewise.

Thought Scrimshaw was playing Marty? Not really up to the level of the other players. Did you mean Spence? Who I think was in the England squad. |

I didnt see Scrimshaw in team list could be wrong tho.
If both teams was at full strength i wouldve gone to Orrell rathet than Hudds for 19s. Real shame they had so many out. |

these players need tying down this year without a doubt along with jack walker
no doubts that the usual vultures will be circling and offering mouth watering contracts up front just to get them to their clubs,the new academy salary cap limits will not deter the wolves,wigan or hull fc though as they allegedly pay far more already
it would be great if these players were signed by us as they all have very promising futures
imo now is a very favourable time to sign for leeds as the club is in transition and their is a clear pathway to the first team for talented juniors that are not going to be restricted by established players that will hold them back |
