That's what Saints fans thought about their own idol Keiron Cunningham, but they're now of the opinion he's parting the Red Vee instead.
Careful what you wish for.
Nobody wishes for a legacy to end up being tainted.

I'm not wishing for his return, nor am I expecting it. If I recall correctly Sir Kev has been pretty clear that he has no ambitions to coach. I totally agree ref the legacy not getting tainted.
Great pun on the Red Vee parting though Billy

Not sure in what capacity, but wandered if anyone else had heard this?'"
nothing has actually changed from when sinny was a rhinos player to when he changed codes to play for yorkshire carnegie
as he has always done some one to one sessions with various players

7 SL titles in 13 years as captain, no matter how bad he was as a coach none will be able to change that
I think he should be made an assistant or something though, he's gotta be a good influence in the dressing room, people wouldn't dare not put it all in for fear of having to look him in the eye at halftime
Where is his statue btw? if its not announced soon I think we should fund it through kickstarter like they did in detroit with the robocop one

| I don't think it's a matter of tainting legacy or anything of that sort. I think from what Kevin has said that he just doesn't have any interest in going into coaching - either as a head coach, or as an assistant.

| True, he said that he reckons he can make more of a difference in the "admin" side of things.
Would love to see him given a senior manager role at Leeds, learning from GH maybe head of development to begin with?

That's what I would think is the likely path. Head of development or some similar role which means he can be involved with players but isn't going down the coaching route. Do that for a few years with probably slightly different roles thrown in to get him experienced in the different aspects of the business side of the club.

| As above He was /is a fantastic ambassador for the club. It would be a crying shame if this aspect alone was lost from the club. Think it would be something a master-stroke if he could combine an administrative role with a role similar to the one Dean Bell had with the academy.

| Shame the timing didn't work out for him to take over from Barrie McDermott as Head of Youth Development, although it remains to be seen whether Simon Bell can help turn the ship around in that department.
Both Sinfield and JJB would make ideal mentors for the scholarship kids coming into the club. Who better to teach a 15/16 year old what it takes to be a professional RL player at the top level, and help them continue the culture they helped to perpetuate during a period of unparalleled success?

Yep. Exactly the people you want to instill the right attitude and level of professionalism into the young players.
